Really friendly staff who went out of their way to make us feel at home. Delicious breakfast included with loads of options. Easy walking distance of the riverfront (with citadel etc).

The staff is excellent! They are very friendly and willing to help. The location is good and breakfast is tasty. The DMZ tour we booked through them was good. The rooms are spacious but a little damp and cold. Overall excellent. FYI be cautious of a scam when you get off the bus were a guy tries to convince you he works for the hotel and it is booked full even with your reservation. He tries to get you to go to his hotel saying it is the same owner. Don't trust him and just walk to the hotel.

This is a very nice hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They offer free drinks and helpful advice/services any time you want. We had a misunderstanding in regards to purchasing some train tickets. The hotel manager Mr. Kenny handled the situation very well and we were quite satisfied with the way things turned out. The rooms are fairly nice, a bit damp, but a good value for the price. I would most likely stay here again.

Lovely staff. Very helpful and friendly! Only problem was down a dark alley way so as a single female traveller I wouldn't want to walk back alone.

We really enjoyed our time at the Valentine Hotel. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and thoughtful. Could not have asked for nicer people. We stayed longer than originally expected. We booked tours though the hostel which were nice, and prices were comparable to tour agency prices. We also booked our bus with the hostel and did laundry. All serves were great. Breakfast was nice in the morning. I recommend the fruit pancakes =) Drinks are available in the room, for a good price

The rooms are nothing flash but the staff are some of the nicest people I've met in Vietnam and will be happy to do anything for you. It is quiet and the rooms are simple but clean. I'd recommend it.

For the money you pay here, you do get quite a good value. The breakfast is very good. But we stayed here with 5 people and none of us were able to get a warm/hot shower. Which would have been very welcome after the long bus ride from Hanoi. It's also not located near anything worthwhile, but if you're on a budget, this place isn't that bad.
