I have nothing bad to say about the hostel itself. Its clean, modern, friendly, etc. The only thing that disturbed me was the noise. Velentini is close to a road which can be very loud in the morning, while its VERY easy to hear other hostel visitors talking or opening doors. But the Hostel was just awesome!

Staff would smoke in the hotel lobby, which was also the only place to watch TV, eat or use the internet, so that was quite annoying. Also, the dorm rooms do not have locks on the doors, which I didn't like. Other than this, the staff was friendly and helpful, the dinners are GREAT, and the free shuttle to/from Petra every day is a huge perk.

This is my third time at this hostel, which is generally great. The manager is friendly and welcoming and the packed lunch service & free bus down to Petra are excellent. Would thoroughly recommend staying here. The only downside is the attitude of the man often in charge of the reception desk, who is rude to guests, tries to rip you off by lying about prices, & hides your passports 'for a joke'. He has been there every time I have stayed, and is increasingly unpleasant.
