nice place to stay, clean, safe and nice staff.

Overall my experience was a really good one. The staff was really really nice. The have nice lockers. Swamp coolers and fans in the rooms. They have awesome hammock chairs and a large sitting area with lots of cushions. The wifi worked great. It was really clean as well. Quiet hours were respected. I would recommend this hostel to everyone.

This is by far the best Hostel I have ever stayed at!! My second time here and of course I will be back!! I confirmed everything that happened the first time!! Super clean, the staff always going all the way t help you and give you great tips on what to do around!! the tequila night AWESOME!! I met great people that will be my friends for ever!! Thanks so much Ricardo and Kathy for making us feel t home!!

This place is fantastic. Very well runned and with a lot of atmosphere. Location is also unbeatable. Thank you to all the people who make our stay an amazing time. Congratulations for the place!! ps: The only low is that the private room is a little bit overpriced.

Vallarta Sun Hostel was a great place to end my winter vacation at. I relaxed, made new friends, and even someone who may be primo. We had a family night, where we ate the rosca de reyes and drank hot chocolate. The staff was great! Their recommendations on everything was on point, from food and activities to nightlife. Gracias, Juan, Martin, Ricardo, y Kathy!! I will def recommend this place to friends and family! Nos vemos en el futuro!

We stayed at Vallarta Sun for 4 nights and had an amazing experience. The people were so great and helpful and my boyfriend and I really felt at home. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay in PV!

I loved the place!! Couldn't ask for more. Ricardo and Kathy are Amazing hosts like the TV show they where in! Congratulations!!! Was great watching The Amazing Race with you and meeting you in person, you have a lovely hostel, all the activities we did together were a great way of getting to know your country and other travelers. I will be back in few days just in time for the Christmas Dinner you will have.

they do not give breakfast and is hard to meet other people since there is not a time for everyone to congregate at the same time

Great place to stay for a one night stay. My only problem was the 40 minute gap of not having a receptionist from 7:20am to 8:00am, however the informed before hand, so it was really my fault.

I love this place...it is a home away from home- with dorms! It is clean, cozy, and friendly! Ricardo and Kathy are wonderful hosts. I will highly recommend this hostel! I have always enjoyed my stay at Vallarta Sun Hostel!

I´ve stayed in many many hostels around the world and this is THE BEST ONE!! Really I could not find anything to complaint about! Spotless, awesome location, I walked everywhere from here to the beach only 1 block down with many restaurants. I made so many friends here, love it. Katy and Ricardo are so friendly and give you all the info you need to have a great vacation. Thanks guys for making me feel at home, will be back soon.

Very friendly and helpful owners and staff! They really try to make your stay as pleasant as possible. My room was clean and nice (this goes for a room with double bed). I had a private bath, that was not located next to our room but next to the kitchen. It unfortunately had no washbowl for brushing your teeth, shaving, etc. This was the only point that justifies critique. Very good laundry service! I enjoyed it very much there!

I stayed in Puerto Vallarta for a weekend and even it was off-season the stay was quite fun. This hostal has everything your traveller heart desires: Spacious kitchen, additional showers and a pool. plus super staff.

I enjoyed my stay very much and will recommend VSH very highly.

Ricardo, Katya and their staff were very friendly and provided excellent service. The A/C in the dorms was extremely welcome when going to bed. The swimming pool was a great hit. And the location could not be surpassed. I will emphatically recommend this hostel to any body that I know that is headed over to Puerto Vallarta!

This was my first hosteling experience ever, and Vallarta Sun has set the standard extremely high! I had a wonderful vacation in PV thanks to the recommendations provided by Kathy and Ricardo, and their clean, comfortable, and safe facilities. Friendly and welcoming hosts, SUPERB location, A/C for sleeping, bathrooms and kitchen cleaned multiple times a day, someone on staff 24 hours, great prices for local tours, and fun tequila parties. Exceeded all of my expectations, can't wait to return!
