Pat the owner was exceptionally friendly and helpful but some of the temporary staff not so much. The kitchen could have been cleaner and there were no lockers. otherwise it was the perfect cosy hostel to stay in and I would definitely go back

This might be my favorite hostel ever! The character of the house will want to make you stay forever, the staff make you feel so at home and comfortable. Pat, the owner, has a kind heart and is always making sure you\'re happy with everything. The pub in the hostel is cheap and cozy (fireplace was class). The beds were great, duvets were fluffy, the breakfast was even good. I didn\'t have a car, and Pat was nice enough to even drive me to the bus stop. Don\'t have one bad thing to say! Stay here!!

Hostel was very run down and dirty.We were not made awear that a function was taking place in the hostel at the same time that we were staying. Noise was unbearable and we were unable to use the toilel facilities as there was a queue outside our bedrrom door from the guests attending the function. We had no option but to leave the hostel and return home in the early hours of the morning.

We enjoyed our stay at the Valley Hostel. As a group of cyclists, all we wanted was a few decent pints in a good atmosphere after a hard day in the saddle. Pat the the Valley definitely provided that, and we would visit again.

Having stayed all over Ireland in hostels of various types. I can only say that the Valley House is the absolute BEST that I have ever stayed in! The House is dripping with olde-world charm, the Bars sessions can only be described as legendary, & the staff & owners are some of the nicest most helpful people that I have ever had the pleasure to meet!!. We'll be back soon Valley House!!!!! Paul & friends. - Dublin.

Quite cold, but I am sure that during summer the hostel is a great place with loads of fun and people!! Thank you!!
