The staff was amazing and helped us with any problems we had. The place was so cute and homey, and in a great location easy accessible to the Valparaiso center and Viña del Mar. We had a great three days, and would recommend the place for anyone :)

The owners have 3 cats roaming around the hostel. We love cats but unfortunately the entire hostel smelled like cat . It was very disgusting. The hostel also closes during the weekend, starting on Thursday, which is not mentioned on hostelworld, so we had no idea. We enjoyed the chaotic atmosphere, but the smell was horrible and we didn't have the idea that any of the staff was into cleaning the hostel and making it smell better.

I really enjoyed my stay at this Hostal. What makes it worth staying there is the couple, which is running the Hostal. They're super friendly and were always there when help was needed. The Hostal offers a huge kitchen and 2 bathrooms, one bathroom with 2 showers and another bathroom with one shower, a great living room with a good TV and a PC for public usage. For the price, you receive a good breakfast, cereals, bread , cheese and marmelade. Located in a safe area and close to the bus station!

I enjoyed my stay here. The hostel was quiet and I liked the location. It's not on the cerros, but you can walk there easily, and the area seems to be safe at night. Breakfast was good. My only complaint was that the top floor has a strange smell, which may be related to the three cats the owners have.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. One of them even offered us to use anything from his personal food basket in the kitchen. Very helpful in guiding us on what to see and do. We were invited to go for a beer with the staff sadly we were too tired that night but we felt very welcome. The only down side was im allergic to cats so for anyone else allergic to cats dont recommend here. And there was no water running in the restroom at night.

The staff were excellent, they were kind, helpful and polite. Friendly environment at breakfast. I thought that the room smelt a bit like stale sweat however I still slept well. As a single traveller I had go book and pay for a double to get my own room. It would be nice to be able to book a single even it is close to the price of a double. I don't eat double breakfast!

It was quiet when I was there, something I prefer. I had peace. I can imagine the common areas would be crowded if there were more guests, but it was good on my trip. My favourite part was the two energetic kittens the owners had rescued, they added some party vibes! Rooms had space. Showers had hot water. It is far from the tourist areas of Valparaiso, but still within walking distance, and very close to the bus terminal, which was important for me as I arrived at dawn.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the place has character. Trouble is they've got three cats and we felt as though there were fleas in our room. The bedsheets smelled damp. The breakfast was all laid out first thing in the morning, and when we got there, there was an army of flies bussing round and landing on the bread. I didn't eat anything. It's located in El Plan, which suited us because we had bikes and coudn't go up the hills. There are much better hostels on the hills.

The owner sure knows how to run her hostel! She is lively and fun, and takes care of her guests. She made the breakfast herself every morning and gave the free tours of the city. There was only one night I did not sleep at all, and that was because I had to share the room with 3 other guys and one snored loudly! Other than that, it was an enjoyable stay!
