Só não digo que foi uma experiencia 100% positiva porque os quartos não contam com acesso à internet.

The rooms are really small and there are not many showers (only 3 per floor), but that wasn`t a problem for us, we never had to wait for a shower. For the price you pay for a private room and for the good location it is really worth it.

The location is great. The persons in charge of checking your hotel key each time you go in are extremely rude. I asked them about how to get to JFK and they were treating me like if I was stupid beacuse of learning about that earlier (I asked them two days before my flight). The guy at the check in desk (night shift) is also very rude.

Great location! Very convenient to most of attraction s in downtown Manhattan. One thing is that they don\'t provide breakfast.

I lived on the 6th floor and the wifi connection is very poor. Wifi works best in the lobby.

YMCA was a bit dull for the price what comes to the facilities and the atmosphere, but it is located pretty nicely on Manhattan so I guess it's supposed to come back that way. The reservation that I had made through Hostelworld hadn't gone throught and they couldn't find it so that caused a slight hussle in the check-in. Luckily they had room for us so it wasn't a problem after all.

Very cheap considering the location. The staffer that greeted me wasn't great, but the rest were nice. They advertise having a swimming pool but it's only for members... Couldn't adjust the window (it was half open) and although the door was locked there was a crack in it that made it look open. Couldn't really relax. They do have a loungy area but it's downstairs with no windows. The building was run down but if you want to be central and not pay a fortune at hotels, this is the best option.

Very small room with bunk beds. However Great location and reasonable price compared to other solutions available at the last minute. Staff were helpful but a technical problem and lack of trained staff meant I was locked out of my floors ladies washroom on our last night. But they did check our luggage for the day we departed for free. Good if all you want is a bed. The gym facilities also appeared great and there is a pool if you have time and a swimming costume!

The location is very good (few blocks from Grand Central Station, where you can find most subway lines). Restrooms need better cleaning, since there are many rooms per floor and only two women toilets per floor. Rooms are very tiny, so don't expect to be ultra comfortable in them. If you're looking for fun and to get to know people, this is surely not the right place for you, because it's a very quiet place. I think you can't get anything better than this for less money in NY.

The access to the gym/pool/basketball courts was a humongous surprise. I kind of wish there was a common room on each floor because it got kind of lonely in the single, but other than that no complaints. It was great getting fresh towels and having someone make my bed everyday, and the location was amazing. I was really comfortable staying here for the week, thanks guys!

A Latina lady with black curlish long hair at the front desk was VERY RUDE when I checked in. I was staying for 10 nights and paying full price but she gave me an attitude and treated me very badly (she was almost yelling when I asked if I can change my room since the one assigned to me was unacceptable). Good thing an extremely nice lady named Serena came to the rescue and very kindly facilitated a very smooth check-in and made me feel welcome and cared for the rest of my stay.

The location made the Vanderbilt YMCA an excellent base for the opera and the big art museums. A very satisfactory experience, though it would be nice to have wifi in the rooms.

Quartier tranquille.
