I stayed in the six bed dorm room at this hostel which felt very cramped when full. The ensuite bathroom was very dirty and you had to buy your own toilet paper. I didn't find the staff particularly welcoming either. This is probably the cheapest place to stay in Fort Cochin, but I'd rather pay more for somewhere nicer.

Vedanta Wake Up is an excellent stay for backpackers and great value for money. We stayed here just for a day and the stay was very comfortable. Only issue we had was getting there. The staff was very accommodating and nice, and I highly recommend this place for stay.

I felt there was a very nice atmosphere here. The staff were very friendly and the manager didn't just offer to help but also took time to stop and have a conversation about how I was finding the area. Also the rooms were very clean and nice to stay in and the location was in the centre of everything.

This hostel was flexible with arrangements. Very helpful as a first time traveler to the area and the staff was always willing to help felt safe! Thank you

I stayed 5 nights in this hostel. It is a new place so I think it is the reason why there is not a lot of facilitities. A coffee/tea access would be a must but the fridge is so useful. The staff is nice and purpose a lot of activities.

Vedanta is definitely heading in the right direction! The place is only new, and there was still a bit of construction work going on while I was staying, however everything that has already been done is amazing! By far the cleanest rooms and bathrooms in India! The Internet had a few teething problems, but once it was sorted out, was great. The staff were friendly, helpful, and went out of their way to follow up on things - rare in India! Thanks for the great stay!!!

Very nice and clean hostel in a great location!

Hostel was fine. Rooms fairly clean and shared bathroom facilities were ok. Hostel doesn't have all that much to offer other than a tv space but even that is barely furnished and with just a few chairs and tables around it feels a bit like a canteen. Expensive for what it is though a good place to meet other travellers. Staff were friendly enough though they made me and another lad move room on my third night as they had a group coming in which was a pain

Very nice hostel! Really nice staff! Location is really central, just a couple of minutes walk to all main attractions. Sometimes theres no hot water but there's always wifi!

the staff are very knowlegeble, and always seem to be on top of things.....all this in a country like India where one should always expect the unexpected there were no regrets, I will definitely stay her agaun on my next Kerala visit. Derek Keskar Washinton Dc.

nice staff and clean hostel, although over the 2 days we were there they didnt clean our room and the bathroom was not clean. I usually wouldnt care about this in India, but given the cost of this place I cant see why it cant be cleaner. Great location, slightly hard to find but easily figured after seeking help from the friendly police! Owner was great:)

One of the better hostels I've stayed in in India. Very friendly staff who are always willing to go above and beyond to make sure you are looked after.

Clean facilities, central location, and the staff are fabulous. I wound up staying for two weeks.

The stay at Vedanta was very comfortable …it was indeed as shown in the image - really nice, comfortable and cozy. The place is very clean and extremely accessible with a bus and taxi stand hop skip and jump from the property including the fort kochi jetty. The property gives you a taste of Nostalgia - as its situated in the heart of the Fort Kochi the most historical area of Cochin.... Moreover this Hostel provides everything you need under one roof. Kudos to the team at vedanta! Cheers! FS

I really enjoyed my stay here although only for a single night. I was upgraded from a 6 people dorm to a 4 people dorm. Really clean room with attached bathroom....the only bathrooms that I have seen in India with seperate wet/dry areas (in the backpacker segment). Comfortable beds as well. Felt very safe as there were security lockers in the room as well as security cameras in place in common areas. All the main attractions like fishing nets is walking distance. Very helpful staff. Thanks!!

Such a fantastic hostel! To begin with, The 24 hour check in was a god send after a long night travelling. The rooms were super clean and fresh feeling and reasonably priced! The best thing about the hostel was the staff. Such a friendly team who went above and beyond to help us! We will be back!

I traveled around New Years' time and this place was loads of fun. Great location in Fort Kochi, right next to main tourist areas like the Chinese fishing nets, Princess Street, etc. There was a lot going on in the area around the time that I visited.....but the hotel still conducted numerous activities of its own. I really enjoyed the movie night where we could also interact with the other hotel guests. The staff were amazing. So friendly, and couldn’t do enough to help. Highly recommended.
