This hostel is fantastic. It's in a super location for walking to all the sites in Fort Cochin. The staff are really knowledgeable, friendly and incredibly helpful. They were able to move things around a bit to accommodate six of us and a last minute seventh. They also arranged a backwater houseboat tour for us in Aleppy which was an amazing price and such a great time!

The staff made this place! They are super friendly and so helpful. I stayed in both a private room and a dorm and both were very comfortable and clean. Thanks so much

The Vedanta is a welcoming, clean and friendly hostel right in the centre of all the action in Fort Kochi. The staff are more than happy to help you with anything you need, breakfast and snacks are available if your too lazy to leave the hostel and there is 24hr security. No need to look any further this is the best hostel in Fort Kochi.

May have been my best hostel experience in India. Perfect location in Fort Kochi, staff that went as far as to ensure the safety and comfort of a friend of mine who needed to be taken to the hospital, and wonderful people to meet and share the space with. Absolutely a big recommendation of mine if you're headed towards Cochin!

The hotel charges quite a high price for a six bed dorm and you can easily get a single room in the area for half that price. The common area is depressing, internet works horribly bad, they charge you a lot and don't even include breakfast. And the worse, I booked a tour with them and they also booked it for a friend in a different hotel. The morning we had to be picket up, the receptionist told me they couldn't pick up my friend. They made me waste the entire day and didn't even apologize.

Perfect location. There's a good atmosphere around the place, nice lounge with comfortable seating and wifi. Rooms are functional, with AC and bunk beds.

I had a good stay at Vedanta Kochi. The hostel is right near the Chinese fishing nets and fish markets. It was clean and secure, with in room lockers. Staff members were friendly and helpful. There were no self catering facilities, which would have been nice, but they are rare in India.

For what Kochi has to offer, this is a good hostel for those interested in meeting others while in Kerala. The staff will answer your questions quickly and they are willing to guide you through your staff in Kochi if you show the interest. The common space was rather small and the bathrooms got dirty pretty quickly. If you're staying in a dorm room rest easy knowing that every bed has a power outlet (which is a magical thing in India). Overall I enjoyed my stay here.

a great back packer right for the Indian conditions, bathroom ok, a one minute walk to bus directly from the airport. really nice team. do not hesitate to ask their advice, they have a really good cooking class and cheaper than others.

I liked the hostel quite a bit. Its easy to locate and the staff are extremely friendly and the whole place has a cosy, lived-in feel. The bathrooms are small but really clean, and so are the rooms.great

The walls of the small room are very spotty, dirty. The bathroom tiles are poorly constructed and the look of the whole bathroom is very miserable.

welcome in this great guesthouse conveniently located in Fort Kochi, near the Chinese nets and a little back from the street which makes it a quiet and peaceful place away from the horns. The staff is always ready to help and show you around.
