I have spent a few days and i enjoyed my stay. The bed is clean enough, the room also, but it would be better if together we keep silence at the rest time in the afternoon for each other,

We booked the 4 person room which was a good size with 2 double beds. Room was clean and in a great location just a few minutes walk from the waterfront. Great value.

Velkommen was a great place to stay. Close to the riverside with lots of delicious places to eat and a row of tuk-tuk drivers ready outside if you want to go a bit further afield. Shared bathrooms were hit-and-miss in terms of cleanliness and hot water Staff were helpful, though they were easily distracted by the row of people sitting and singing/drinking at the bar every afternoon. The common area downstairs was a nice area away from the sun during the day but was pretty noisy at night.

We enjoyed our stay at Velkommen. The location is amazing. It's right on the river and near all the restaurants and bars. There's a weekend night market that's great to check out and is very close to the hostel. The staff were great - welcoming, and helpful in giving tips of what to see and suggestions for other trips within Cambodia. The cleanliness could have been better and there isn't much of a social scene. Other than that, it's great for the cost!

I paid extra to have air conditioning, but they were turning it off every day from 9.30 am to 7 pm even with people still sleeping in the room and this was never told or written. Many the rooms have no windows and in some room air con don't work properly, dont sleep in the 4 bed dormitory attached to the 6 bed one. In the last day there were shortcuts in electricity every 5 minutes, we had nothing attached but she was claiming us.I had a coffee maker I used only ones and she was accusing me.

Good location. Just a short walk to some nice sights. Rooms and baths are clean. There is every evening loudly music until 2am. If you like to have party it's the right place but not to sleep withour earplugs.

I had a ball there, and went back a second time. Rory at the bar is excellent fun and a great guy, as are all the other staff - super helpful and friendly. The vibe in the bar area is always fun but relaxed, and the location is amazing being only a 20 second walk to the riverfront. The shared bathrooms could do with a clean a bit more often, otherwise a great value place where you'll never be short of a drinking buddy :)

There is no Wi-Fi in the dorms, only on the ground floor. Also no free breakfest in the morning. If these 2 options were available this hostel would be excellent value for money. Cheers, Igor. (Ukraine/Australia)

I had a good stay here. Spacious rooms, clean enough. Most importantly the location is perfect so no need for messing around with phnom penhs head wrecks tuc tuc drivers who have no Ida where anything is. You can stroll to loads of bars from here. Good spot.

You get what you pay. I had a private double room for 2 pax, and it came without a window nor AC. I don't mind not having AC since Phnom Penh is very breezy most of the times, but the lack of a window makes the room extremely stuffy and hot. It was also very inconvenient not having a power socket inside the room, so I have to charge my phone outside the room at night and sit by my phone to make sure it's safe...

The aircon didn't seem to work well so it was very hot in the room. Also it said the dorm had an ensuite bathroom online, but it did not. The wifi worked well and the common room was nice. The lockers were too small to fit most backpacks.

Had a good stay. Staff were very friendly & helpful. Facilities & location good. Only 2 niggles: music in lobby sometimes too loud for my comfort, and being asked to move into a different dorm on the 3rd night (and from a lower to an upper bank).

Nice enough and I have no major complaints, though my room was very small and had no windows. The hostel suffers from frequent disruptions to the water and electricity supplies, so it's not always possible to have a shower and I'd recommend taking a torch, but I don't think there's much the hostel can do about that.
