Great Hostel at awesome location. Definitely recommend.

Power went out at least once or twice a day. Problem with the shower drainage, water wouldn't go down and the bathroom floor got flooded every time we had a shower. Other than that the rooms were okay, air con worked well. At the common lounge room was a pleasant place to hangout and use the wifi.

Comfortable and convenient place to stay! No complaints.

Was just in phnom penn for one night. This place was fine - clean and safe - but not that much fun.

Not a great hostel, its an okay hostel

Beside the riverside and restaurants around, a very convenient place to stay. I saw there are some staffs cleaning the bathroom and corridor every morning, room are quite clean as well. Breakfast here is okay and there is a bar on ground floor even I didn't grab a drink but they keeps switch on TV and playing music, quite a good company when I enjoy my internet time at night there.

Nice staff, good service, great location (walking distance to most sights) and a fantastic owner who truly went out of his way to make sure that our stay was as pleasing as possible! Would recommend everyone to stay there!

Excellent staff who were very helpful and friendly. Great atmosphere in the bar.Good food. Room was clean and a/c and fans very good. Good shower facilities. Would definitely stay again at velkommen.

I picked this hostel based on the reviews, but once I got there, I did not understand how it got such good reviews. First, the room was hot and muggy. The dorm was right under a tin roof, only equipped with few fans, features which was not specified online. Second, there was a bar downstairs, so there was a lot of noise throughout the night. Third, hostel staffs were NOT friendly, except one guy. Showers were broken and/or water didn't come out.

Spent one night on the way to siem reap. good fun spots, ended up going to some bar opening with staff. recommend for easy going traveller who doesnt mind a beer or two

We were disappointed by this hostel after reading such fantastic reviews. Although the location was good and the staff friendly, the room was tiny and had no plug socket whatsoever so we couldn't charge our camera or use our laptop. We asked to be moved into a dorm which they claimed were fully booked although we saw them offer the beds to others; lucky for us as the dorm rooms are rarely locked and the door is left open. Whilst we were there a girl had her mobile stolen. Not a great stay.
