it'll be better if the guesthouse provide shower head beside the closet :) other than that, it's perfect.

We have stayed there for 2 nights. The location is great, very near to the waterfront. Pubs and restaurants are in walking distance. I highly recommend this place. The room rate is value for money, clean room, comfortable bed, own bathroom and free internet. The staff were very friendly, they have given lots of tips, useful information. I will be coming back to this hostel. Keep it up guys, Great job!

Great value rooms in a central location. The staff were attentive and friendly and we ended up eating at the restaurant a lot as the food was really good.

The pros: Well located to get to the riverfront, market and bars. Decent enough sized room (we had the triple) Clean Room for improvement: Staff were not unhelpful, but they were not particularly friendly either. Overall it does its job - a clean and well-located place to stay. I can't complain, but I can't rave about it either.

I'm stay in the velkommen guesthouse Room12 (6th floor) the best room in the guesthouse i think, and the expensive one than other room, but i think its too high to provide this best room on the 6th floor bcoz too tired to climb + bring the luggages. But The view to the riverside, big room, clean and balcony is so great but the air conditioner is a lil bit hot may be because the room is too big to cover by the AC capasity. Overall i recomended this hostel bcoz the staff was helpfull & kind.

Ok stay. Hostel was alright, not very special. A lot of stairs to get to our room but that's alright because we're backpackers. Downside was the atmosphere, not so great. Not bad either, just not special.

Very clean & comfortable room with air-con, safe-box, TV, balcony & attached bathroom. Value for money indeed! Manager Gavin comes from London is friendly & approachable. His staff is friendly and helpful too. I highly recommend this guest house. Arrange for a tuk-tuk driver for a city tour and get the guesthouse staff to bargain a resonable price.

$7 tuk tuk ride from the airport. We had our room upgraded. Top floor, specious balcony, nice Mekong river view from the balcony. Walking distance to the central market, bus terminal, Royal Palace & National Museum, excellent location. Gavin , English owner organised bus tickets for us to go to Kep and Siem Reap. Oh, massage place was across the road, it was a very good place to stay.

We stayed at Velkommen Guesthouse at both Phnom Penh & Siem Reap and found to very good with friendly staff, was always spotlessly clean, Phnom Penh was ideal just off the river front, Siam Reap was best though as was in a separate house and although a 25-20 min walk to the Old Market & restaurants was no problem if you don't want to walk take a tuk-tuk. Location was ideal for Angkor as just a short tuk-tuk ride away. We were a family with 2 girls 11&14 and enjoyed our stay in Cambodia.

Really nice hostel, very modern. We booked twice as a private room wasnt available on the first night but we emailed and they managed to get us into a private for both nights. It's in the heart of town so good for going out, which is pretty much all you're gonna be in Phnom Penh for anyway. Staff really kind and chilled out, not in your face at all which was really nice. Great hostel, shame about the city :-)
