The staff were wonderful & everyone was encouraged to meet in the lounge in the evenings to have a few drinks & get to know all the other people staying there & after we would go out as a group to the surrounding entertainment venues which is great esp if you're travelling alone. Its right on the beach & the markets & food stands are right there. The rooms & bathrooms were clean & rooms had lockers(you just had to provide the lock & key) I made alot of new friends & would def return.

Have to buy for 2 person to have a single room and impossible to have guest.... room done but not fully. Really noisy. Not on the best place(as soon as you go out, you're in front of homeless people and their putbull...). I don't think i'll come back one day...

Pretty good hostel... great location right on Venice Beach, good vibe and common room. Rooms were hit and miss though - some were large and airy though the one we stayed in (3 bed mixed dorm) was tiny, stuffy and smelly... air didn't circulate at all. Bathrooms were okay and quite clean. Staff super bubbly and helpful. Would be great if the internet was free... you even have to pay for wifi which is a huge pain. Would probably stay again.

There was no free wifi, however you you can buy for a reasonable price. The rooms were large (4 bed female dorm) with own sink which was good there was a lack of shared showers, which was disappointing but actually didnt prove to be a problem overall the inside of the hostel is better than looking at it from the outside free off street parking a short walk away as well which was a bonus.

This is one of the best hostels I've stayed in. The staff is SUPER friendly, the location is AWESOME and you meet great people. Just walking down Venice beach is a RELAXING experience, one see so much people from different backgrounds that enriches your OWN. So bad I had to left earlier than expected !!! Kerry, keep it up. Much LOVE for you and your people !!! Hector

Best location for a hostel in venice. It upped its prices for labour day which was annoying, but understandable if you're trying to make money. if you have a hire car, parking near can be tricky.

Awesome hostel, well-located, easy to meet people, clean... The staff was really friendly and helpful. On the down side, it's a little expensive.

I had the greatest time at the Venice Beach Cotel. The location doesn't get any better. The staff were always helpful and the atmosphere was very loving and personal. I will definately recommend the Cotel. Thanks again for a super fun stay.

Epic location, don't bother with the rest of HelL A venice Beach has more characters and colours and fun then the rest of the city combined. Hostel is right on the beach, has a bar which serves your drinks you buy from a general store (cheap). Cool staff, cool people, rad area.

Have just come back from a trip round the world including Russia, China, Japan, Korea and lots of America. This place was the worst I stayed in. The whole area was very dangerous and very depressing. The hostel was ok. And I have stayed in a lot. But not one that had noisy parties most nights til well gone midnight like this one. Definitely not the place for a Brit of my age.
