Venice Beach Hostel Reviews

I stay for 2 night in this hostel and I was really disappointed when I arrived. FRom outside it looks OK but inside is not clean at all, smell rat the room are not efficient, I book for one private room with double bed and one dorm with 6 bed and in stead I had a private room with two very small bed in stead of a queen bed and there were seven people in the dorm. The private had one room with noting in it (lost of space). Not clean and staff was not friendly at all. Not a good idea to stay here!

Cool place very close to the beach friendly staff and would highly recomend

Wow, this was such a cool hostel. Easy buses to everywhere from the hostel.. The free breakfast and dinner was a plus. and you get free Wi-Fi and there's a computer in the room. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They also had karaoke and if you sing you get a free shot or beer. And the beach is a 1 minute walk. I will definitely be back and I do recommend this place

It's definitely great hostel. Great place, staff, breakfast and dinner for free, Internet for free, tee and coffee all day.

Very close to the Venice Boardwalk and close to numerous bus routes. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful with anything and everything, would stay again if staying in Venice

My friend and I stayed there for two nights and we didn\'t like it at all. The room was big but had a really bad smell that I couldn\'t stand. The room was not that clean and there were hairs on our pillows, and the computer was so slow that you couldn\'t even use it. The stuff was really friendly though and the location was great so if you not that picky you might find it OK, but I would personally not recommend it to anyone.

I found the location of the hostel amazing...you cant ask to be much closer to the beach, however we booked a room that was advertised for 6 people. travelling as a group of 5 we found this to be a cheap ideal way to stay in venice beach! They put us in a room with 13 beds and an ajoining room with more beds, well we only had 4 beds and had to share the first night! also had $200 stolen and a bottle of vodka!! LOCK YOUR THINGS...

Really great value for money and we enjoyed our stay here.

A great place to stay, full of character and close to Venice Beach.

Great place. 1 block from Beach and skatepark. Excellent staff.

I did not like this place at all and left after 1 night even though I had paid for 3. I was given a large room with 2 beds in even though it was just me complete with a (slow) PC, so far so good. Unfortunately the room had a really bad smell that no amount of aftershave could remove, the furniture was old and rusty, there was a room with a sink in it which as rusty and dirty underneath the bathroom just yuk! Staff were cool, and the location was good but I\'d have to advise you to avoid.

Nice clean Hostel. The free dinner is very nice and also that they have free spices was sweet. Ah Hostel as it should be.

The hostel was filthy, especially the bathrooms with their walls covered with mold. T The building is nice ad old and they should definitely invest some money in refurbishing it, as there were some breakdowns (electricity and water) and also lots of rust! It was also extremely noisy at night and there were more people in the room than expected! I payed to stay in a room for 6 ppl, but there was an additional bed there! I think it's unfair. For the conditions offered, it's far too expensive.

This place is everything you need in Venice Beach. Location is perfect, free internet and computers, theres free parking near by, breakfast is awesome waffles and the staff are super cool, really friendly. our 8 bed dorm had two bath rooms and was really big. loved the time i had there!

Great place to stay, staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Other guests were also friendly and a lot of fun. I will dedinately stay there again on my next visit to Venice.
