Great place for young travelers! but be carefull with the neighborhoud at night.

The Rooms were ok and had a prvate bathroom that was rather clean. The staff was friendly however there were not willing to call an Airport Shuttle which usually Hostels do, from my experience, and it is also not possible to wash laundry in the hostel because there is only one machine which is occupied by the staff 24h and if you are lucky and ask the Hostel manager you can wash at 6 am but that never worked out. Dinner and Breakfast is very basic.

Didn't like they closed the door at 4 am. Maybe they should freshn' up the commonarea looks like when they build it. And get some wi-fi that works properly.

Venice beach is the worst place you can choose to be on the beach near LA!SImply not the place you will expect. There is nothing around except for homeless, rubbish and old buildings. The hostel is very poor maintained, quite dirty, internet is choppy, there is no breakfast unless you want to cook your own waffles in a dirty kitchen and you also have to wash the dishes! Advice: spend 30-40 dollars more and stay in santa monica which is 5 minutes by car from venice beach but is fantastic!

great location, no character, pretty average.

I booked a private room for 2 nights. The decor was dated but the room was clean, spacious and met all my requirements. There was some noise from the cars outside, but this did not bother me. The rooms appear to be old apartments that have been converted into a hostel. My room had a bathroom, a utility room another room with a sink (used to be the kitchen) then a large main room with two double beds. Overall very happy. Great location, decent value for the money.

I stayed there twice in a month because I had a lot of fun there. The common area is a place where you can meet other travellers and most of them know how to party. If you're young and like to have fun this hostel is the best you can choose, located in the perfect spot in Venice beach.
