This place is located just off the island of Venice, between the airport and the island. Its an excellent location as it is just outside the busy island, with a bus service running 4 times an hour between the airport and island. The hostel itself was very good, nice size, very clean and great owner make it a really nice place to stay. There are some local shops and restaurants providing almost anything you might need. The shower and beds were great and there is a fully equipped kitchen.

Venice Lagoon House is a nice Guesthouse with a great Owner. It's very familiar but you still have your privacy in your room. In my opinion it's a great Location if you don't wanna spend to much money on a Hotel/Hostel on the Venezia-Island. From the Guesthouse you walkt about 8 minutes to the Bus Station which takes you to the Venice Island in about 20minutes (One-Way-Ticket: Euros 1.50). In the Village (Tessera, IT) there are a few Bars/Restaurants, FastFood open until late, and a Supermarket.

I like the location (in a small village).. even it is far from Venice but with the bus.. only 15 mins. It is safe to walk at night. Good Wifi. There is also a good restaurant near by that I went there all the times. The owner is very helpful and kind.

This hostel actually is not in Venice itself - it's in a village called Tessera, about a 20 minute bus ride from the city. If you don't mind that, this is a good hostel: run by a sweet and friendly guy, it basically feels like staying in a house. My friend and I had booked a 4 bed mixed dorm but ended up having the room all to ourselves and paying the same price. And the beds are REALLY comfortable!

In my Hostelworld's webpage it's wrote big and clear that I'm on Venice mainland convenient for Venice downtown (4 buses per hour) and superconvenient for the Airport (1km). The bus company declares 15 minute ride for Venice but I know with traffic minute can be 20. Thank for your review

Luca is the sweetest! He came to get us from the bus stop and then gave us info about how to travel and places to visit in Venice. The house has not seen any aesthetic renovations since the early 1970s and kind of reminds me of my grandparents house. The bathroom is clean and the kitchen is available for use. The bus stop is about a 5 minute walk just down the road! Definitely worth staying here and traveling on a bus to the islands.

Loved the owner of the house. Very insightful and gave us advice on cooking. Great town and within great distance to Venice and the airport.

The Venice Lagoon House is actually a house turned into a guest stay, not a hostel as we had imagine (obviously this is a good thing!) Luca is an amazing host and very knowledgeable about Venice and literally anything question you throw at him. The house is very close to bus transportation to the island and Marco Polo airport (15 mins walking). My only complaint is that it was quite cold in the house for the majority of our stay.

I enjoyed my stay here. It was very close to the bus which takes you straight onto the island of Venice. The owner was very helpful, making sure that I had the bus times and helping me carry my bags up the stairs. My bed was very comfy and it was the best nights sleep that I had in Italy.

extremely cheap, excellent value for money, extremely friendly host who _really_ takes care of his guests ; think about it: inside venice the hostel-prices are very very high ; THIS hostel is located very close to venice (like 15 min. by bus) and is very cheap - also you even got a KITCHEN to use as well - with a food-shop 2 min walking distance to the hostel ; also the beds are very comfortable to sleep on (very soft)

Stayed there when I was the only person there which was kind of weird. However, Luca (the owner) was super nice and always available to help (speaks English). Beds are roll away cots but comfiest hostel bed I have stayed in. Like a 15 min bus ride from Tessera to Porta Roma (Venice) from the hostel. If youre fine not always teaken the common path then this might be the place for you. BE AWARE that there is a linen charge (basically to use the bed).

Luca was very nice! Very comfortable beds. Mold in some areas (bathroom & hallway). Great value for money!

Luca is a very nice guy who knows how to welcome and inform travelers. The place is easily accessible and close to the airport and Venice with bus. The rooms are large, clean as toilets and bathroom. Anyway, it was a great stay!

We spent four nights here during the Carnival and thoroughly enjoyed it. The property is basic but spotlessly clean and meets my criteria of a warm room, hot strong shower, and comfortable bed. Luca was a lovely host and couldn't do enough to help us during our stay. At just 15 minutes from piazza Roma by bus this was an ideal location for us with a several busses every hour. When I return to Venice in the future, I will look forward to visiting at this hostel.

we are 15 minutes by bus from Venice, 4 buses per hour until 1.00am. It's a point of view consider us a little far or very near to Venice. Thank you very much for your review :)

The owner was so helpful and friendly person! facilities were nice and clean. just one thing I need to say is that the sign "Venice Lagoon House" outside was too small and it wasn't easy to notice. We couldn't recognize the house which has similar looks as sorrounding houses was a hostel. The owner should try to make the sign more eye-catching one.

Owner Comment (Show)
Today afternoon I put a sign at least 4 times bigger. And in a week or two I will buy an official one big and clear. Thank you very much for your advice (you have been not the first one to tell it to me:)
