GOOD: location. BAD: no reception to greet you even if you specify a time, guy eventually came and had to borrow a pen as he didn't have one. Our room door/locks were dodgy, no fridge in room or access to a kitchen, so couldn't purchase perishable goods for breakfast, unwelcoming list of "rules" taped to front door: DO NOT BRING GUESTS, TURN OFF ALL LIGHTS, KEEP SILENT. No one changed our bedding or towels in the 3 days we stayed. No staff for check out, so left keys on the PRIVATE door handle.

Terrible! Would not recommend. Dirty bathroom with broken toilet seat and mirror looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. No kitchen facility/no breakfast option. Checkout at 10am, no where to leave your bag and staff had no suggestions (actual check person spoke no English). No explanation of where to leave keys/how checkout works. Called to organise check in yet had to call again after ringing bell for 10mins. Very old building, you can hear the people walking above you. Go somewhr else.

Location is the only advantage of this place. The staff doesn`t even try to pretend they care about guests, and they don`t speak English!!! Light bulbs missing in the room&the bathroom, mirror is broken, doorlocks are working poorly. Not going to come back.

It was like in horror movie! We were scared of staying in the room, the doors didn't close. We did not have our bathroom as promised, but we had to share bathroom with four other people. The doors of the bathroom didn't close also. It was dirty, the towels and the sheets were full of stains. Room didn't have any light so it was really scary. The staff didn's speak English. I guess we were unlucky with our room because other two looked better but still it was dirty. I don't recommend this hostel!

The most not friendly atmosphere ever. They never even cleaned the rubbish bin in our room or changed the towels(we stayed there 5 days). There were no light bulbs in the corridor, so you have find the key hole in complete darkness. The light in the room was also very poor, even we had to use some candles. The entrance smelled like dead rats and looked very disgusting. It was cold in the room. There was no wardrobe. The bath was incredibly dirty! They have probably never cleaned it!and no soap.=((

Very good location, only a few minutes walk from the station but away from the busy and touristic area in a local, residantial area. Very nice bars and restaurants in the area (Fondamenta della Misericordia and suroundings) and great atmosphere at night. The entrance door was broken but the area is very safe. The room was really clean but the bathroom is in serious need of some renovation. It was quite cold at nite and asked the owner to put the heating on but never did. We would come back again

First of all, dont get this wrong: If you are looking for a nice place at low cost you are good with venice ormesini. The room we had was very beautiful. But, the bathroom was kind of destroyed, the mirror, the toilet, all broken. Also bring your own towels because the ones they gave us smelled really bad, though they were washed. Another thing was cleanliness, i found hairs in the bed from the guests before us, used sanitary pads on the toilet and so on.

Overall the place was ok. The lightbulbs went out all the time, and it was cold the first day. Keep in mind you need to call them when you arrive because there isn't someone there all the time like at a check in desk. Someone will have to come in and do check in. Overall good quality though, off the noisy tourist street but close enough to walk to piazza Roma, the vaporetto and st. Marks.

Near the train station, big rooms and quiet at night. Average cleanliness and none atmosphere in the hostel (just three big double rooms and a bathroom to share). If you just want a quiet place to sleep it's a good value for money.

Everything was broken!! Facilities were clean but there was never enough toilet roll and everything was broken ... most of the lights, toilet seat, shower, bathroom mirror, lock on the bathroom door (took longer to get out of the bathroom than it did to use it!). Heating didn't work and there were no extra blankets for the bed so it was very cold. Staff were very late meeting us at the hostel leaving us standing in a dark dirty ally for ages. Have stayed in much cheaper, MUCH nicer places.

Only staircase is a little scary. Beasides this everthing is perfect. Cheap and very good place to visit Venice. You must know that this is not a typical hostel but rather apartment adapted to renting.

it's a nice apartment, clean and organized but the problem is the lack of staff. You need to call and you need to make an appointment.

We had a lovely room which was nice and warm. The bathroom was pretty average and didn't look as though it was cleaned very regularly. Also the locks were very difficult to use. Got locked in/out frequently! Staff were nice and came and helped my friend when she was lost.

This hostel is in a good location if you are looking for something quiet. However, you will be the ONLY people walking around the area after 9pm, so it can be pretty creepy. It wasn't clean, but wan't dirty. Definitely bring your own towels, the one they provide you is tiny, has mysterious stains, and as stiff as cardboard. The room is not very warm, but there are a couple of heaters. The staff is not friendly and keeps interaction to a minimum with customers.
