Looved the bathrooms and the bed was comfortable. The ambient was also really enjoyable.

The street of the hostel was under our expectation, really dirty and scary. When we arrived we found ourselves (we are three women) among 100 men who were talking on a square and no woman was with them. We really did not like to walk on that street. The rooms were really cold during the night and we did not have a place where we could pack our things. In one room the bathroom was musty. Actually, the hostel could be good for staying there some nights, but we did not really like it.

Although we will not be returning to Marseille we felt safe in the hostel and the facilities were clean and well maintained. It should be noted that the surrounding areas are quite dodgy and as two females we did not feel comfortable walking through the city after dark. The hostel itself however is quite decent and reasonably priced.

One night in 16 mixed-bedroom The hostel's entrance was always closed and was opened by the staff, and your identity might be checked if the person hasn't seen you there before. The fact that 16 people share the room makes it almost impossible to have the room locked, but that's the same for most of the hostels. Very close to the central staion and to supermarkets. The neighbourhood looked a bit dangerous with many guys offering drugs Good: bed, shower, kitchen, staff

Vertigo hostel was so much fun! We were only able to stay one night, but we had an absolute blast! The staff was very helpful, kind and fun! Especially Remy! I would absolutely stay here again! In a heartbeat!

Located close to the train station, but if you turn the wrong way down the street, you will walk into a shady area! Didn't feel comfortable and we were 2 girls in our mid-20's. Common area was decent, there is also a bar and laundry. We stayed in the 16-bed bunk room... normal noises are to be expected, but the guy at reception would check someone in after 11pm and turn on all of the lights in the room! Totally unnecessary!

Sebastian was very friendly and helpful. He spoke English fluently. The hostel was right by the train station and has good red wine at its bar.

The hostel is very close to the station which makes it easy for fast-travellers. Bad thing about the location is that i felt unsafe when i walked outside. The neighborhood is a bit scary. The hostel was very beautiful, cool design, the room was very very big and very clean. I would definitely recommend the hostel.

Overall a good hostel to stay. However the key-system is a bit inconvenient as there were only 2 keys for the 6-bed dorm, so later arriving guests had to wake up other guests in the night to enter the room.

Very nice hostel with friendly staff, cool and good atmosphere and it has all the facilities needed (kitchen, bar, living room etc). Breakfast was a typical french "petit-dejeuner" with real buttermade croissants and pain-au-chocolats. The hostel is situated near the trainstation and 15 minutes walk from the old harbour/ "le vieux port". The only negative thing was, that the neighbourhood didn't feel safe for women after sunset, because of all the men starring and commenting/shouting after you

The hostel was very clean, and the staff was super friendly and helpful. The kitchen was nice to have, clean and well equipped. It's a bit pricey, but I really enjoyed my stay here. Probably one of my favorite hostels of my 2 1/2 month trip.

I loved my stay at vertigo, I met some really cool like minded people in the lounge area, it has a very French feel, very cosmo. Staff very friendly especially alejandro (I'm sorry if that's the incorrect spelling)

Not too sure on the name of the lady who worked on reception but she was absolutely lovely and couldn't have helped us more. Extremely friendly and nothing was too much trouble for her - she even let us have a small breakfast after breakfast had closed which was really nice :)

Very nice hostel next to the railway station. The dorm was big and there was lot of space, good showers and outlets and lights. Kitchen was ok equipped.

Good location. Located right next to the train station. The staff is really polite and helpful and talks with smile. The cleanness is okay as the shower room functions well and clean. The bed is so so clean. For security, the locker is not work and better not to go out at night.
