There should be a place to savely store Money
This hostel is great! Really good location as its over the road from the train station. The staff were really friendly. The rooms and bathrooms are really clean and tidy and they are kept cool which is perfect in this weather. Beds are comfy, plug sockets next to beds and wifi in the room. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.
Really nice hostel, good vibes and all round a lovely place to stay.

The location is nice for the proximity to the train station however that is about it. It's definitely not an area of town you want to just be wandering around in, especially at night. The hostel was pretty average. Staff was nice but the room we were in had no locks on the doors and the lockers were unlockable for anyone with a normal travel size lock. The beds were clean and the bathrooms were nice and clean as well.
The location is very bed, in the middle of the ghetto, although very close to the train station. I wouldn't recommend it to women traveling on their own. Other than this, the hostel is very cool, they have a nice outdoors area and it's pretty clean. Another thing that bothered me is that one night the hostel door was close at like 3am and I had to knock so many times and wait for so long until the staff guy would wake up to open the door for me.
This is a great place to meet new peoples, definitely worth the money. The security problem isn't just about the hostel but in Marseille as overall.
I liked everything, especially the fact that it is across the street from the train station Marseilles St. Charles. They charged 5€ for breakfast, which includes unlimited orange juice, coffee, tea, pain au chocolat, croissants, baguette, butter, jam. I would have appreciated some fruit. Oh! They had cereal, too! The private room was on the tippy top floor with a small balcony. The neighborhood seems a bit sketchy though but there's a great late-night kebab spot on the corner.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Close to train station which is a bonus, but on the rougher side of town. Inside hostel had a very good atmosphere but I wish there was more of a way to verify paying guests, it seemed anyone could come and go in and out of the dorms at any time. Overall I enjoyed my 2 night visit.
Too hot in the rooms! the fans were definitely not enough. The bedsheets were not so clean (brown spots)
The staff was really helpful and nice, especially the new guy who tried super hard to help even though everything was new to him, thank you! :) 16 bed mixed dorm was quite peaceful and a nice experience. Take some lock with you for the locker/to tie your bag to your bed. The surrounding of the hostel was not nice, I did not feel comfortable to go out from the door alone... Athmosphere in the hostel was good, many clean bathrooms but too small fridges and not so good kitchen facilities.
Great place to stay, very helpful staff, and right near the old port where most of the tourist action is located.
There was virtually no security. The door to the dorm doesn't lock and during the day the door to the hostel is open so any one off the street can walk right into the dorm room, also the lockers in the dorm don't work with small pad locks you need a giant one in order to lock anything in the lockers. The atmosphere at the hostel was good though and staff were nice. Kitchen wasn't great, there were only 2 or 3 forks to use... The neighbourhood around the hostel wasn't the nicest either!
Very good hostel, great location from the train station with a friendly atmosphere. Could do with lockers just for peace of mind with bags and money. Other wise a really nice and relaxed atmosphere

Wifi was good but a lot more effort needs to be put into the kitchen if more than one person wants to use cutlery at the same time
Really nice owner to chat to, very quick check in/check out. Less than 5 minute walk to the train station so it was perfect for us as we were basically using the hostel as a stop between other cities. Really secure, front door was locked and you couldn't take room keys out which we thought ensured more security. Stayed in a 4 bed dorm with shared ensuite, was really clean and tidy and wasn't absolutely boiling. Great atmosphere outside, but the bar was a bit expensive (€5 for pint of Heineken).
The hostel was very beautiful in relationship at the standard of France, that isn't too high compared with Germany or other countries of Europa, mais ca va! The position isn't too safe if you are coming from the Vieux Port and you are a girl, but if you want to stay near the Gare Saint Charles it's perfect. The personal is very kind.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the vertigo centre! We loved the use of kitchen which meant we were eating out less, the bar sold cheap alcohol which is great as alcohol is not allowed in the premises if brought in. The rooms are now slightly outdated compared to pictures, air con consisted of a fan....disappointing. The room we stayed in was very small and cramped although you did get a big bathroom which was great. Staff very friendly. Area a little rough to walk around during the night.
the only downfall to this hostel is Marseille itself! bit of a sketchy neighborhood, but very convenient to the train station!
