I found that if you go by train the next day, it´s the prefect location. The room ist much to small and low budget design...but we found that 80,- Euro the night is not low budget without breakfast. The rooms could be cleaner and designed with more love. Designe must´nt be expansive. So all in all...it was ok, not more.

I had a nice stay here for one night. It´s conveniently close to the train station. I liked that the 4 bed dorm had its own bathroom and toilet. The only critique I have is, that there are no facilities to lock your things somewhere, if you e.g. share a room with people you don´t know.

cheaper would be nice, but the terrace was nice and the rooms had a charme to them we liked!

I would not recommend this place, a sketchy accommodation and the staff cannot speak French or English, and as a result double-charged us for staying, as they didn't realize we actually signed in and stayed the night and were marked as a "no show" so that had to be sorted post-trip.

All in all a good stay. Computers for internet didn't work or get fixed. Room was clean, wifi worked fine. Breakfast was a bit disappointing and basic. Stones throw for, train station, 20 min walk to old port. No atmosphere but was mid-week.

Lovely mediteranian ambiance, very nice chilled out staff, breakfast not included though. We were in a private double, which was nice and clean, was in better condition than in many hotels.

Excellent location....just head for the big set of stairs at the Mc Donalds end of the station concourse. Staff were friendly and always ready to help especially Johanna who was great. Common area is quite cool and there is space to do some cooking also. Vieux Port is about 20 minutes walk. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location next to the train station and a short walk to the port. Free wifi but not in the rooms. Nice little outdoor area, good kitchen and common room. Helpful staff.

Very nice room and a the woman at the reception was superhelpful. The other receptionist, a man , was quite(was there in the evening and early morning) was quite inpolite though. We really liked the cool beds in the dorm balcony. :)

I really like the hostel and can recommend it to others. I just didnt like that I (younger woman) had to share a two-bed-dorm with a man, who was about 20 years older than me. I guess the two of us didnt feel comfortable with this.

Interesting location with an excellent staff. I was glad to stay here, and the dorms were fantastic. In fact, I had the best sleep I have had on my trip so far at this location, so I'm glad that it worked out. The kitchen was limited and some of my pasta got lost but overall, it was still a great place to meet new people and I'm still happy with this hostel!

The hostel was very nice in itself. We stayed in one of the double rooms, which was spacious enough, the adjourning bathroom was good. What has to be kept in mind, is that the hostel is located close to the main railway station. While this is really convenient overall, it is also true for Marsailles, that these areas are not always the nicest parts of town - while it felt safe, it was also a bit sketchy and not the area to thoroughly visit...

Marseille is expensive.the area was a little dodgy. The streets were absolutely filthy. The hostel, was good considering the surroundings. The staff here were amazingly bright , cheerful and helpful.
