I didn't stay here long as I was only in Quito for one night and had to catch a bus early the next morning but our stay was nice. We walked around and it seemed like a good place to stay and a fun place to meet people. Everyone was friendly that we met.

The hostel wasn't very clean. Showers and toilets were gross and limited in number. Rooms were cramped, beds creaky. Hostel just felt like noone cared about it, including the guests.

Had a great stay, Vibes is a nice hostal. Though the bunk beds shake every time someone breaths.

Comfy beds. Probably the most comfortable beds I've stayed in. Good location as well.

The hostel is located in a great area, one block from all the bars and clubs. It feels safe to walk around the area. Showers are warm and there is a giant TV, Fussball table and pool table in the bar downstairs. If I go back to Quito, Ill definately stay at Vibes.

Stayed there for three times and really enjoyed every one of them. Allways fun people around and owner Santiago will help you with all your questions and wishes. Really close to nightlife and has an amazing bar area with pool and foosball. Enjoy!

The staff at the Vibes hostel are very helpful. The atmosphere is great as well as the travellers who come through. A friend and I stayed for a little over a week and had a great time!

I booked two times a dorm for five people and I got a 6-p dorm. Breakfast could be better.

The reviews for this hostal were really high but I was a little disappointed. The showers were actually really gross, and the lights didnt work in the dorm room, so everything was constantly dark. The kitchen is probably one of the worst hostal kitchens |Ive seen, so dont plan on too much cooking. But, the location is incredible, so its definitely got that going for it.

The location is absolutely great, the people who stayed there were great, the parties were great but the downside is that the hostel is absolute not clean! Everything was really dirty and only cleaned in the morning. Most of the staff were nice but the "boss" wasn't really helpful and and seemed to prefer chilling around and laying of the couch watching movies with his girlfriend (who was the bartender). The bar is more closed than open. And don't expect to much of the included breakfast.

The Hostal is located in Mariscal, the bar/restaurant area, but it's not noisy at all at night. It seemed to me that some staff people were more involved in playing Computer Games at night in stead of opening the door for the returnning people... More disciplin would be a plus in order that the people do not have to ring the bell 10 times! Furthermore, there is only one Computer with internet access, so additional computers would be a plus (btw, wifi was perfect).

Noisy and run down hostel. Paper walls. Didn't even see a bathroom. Probably on the first floor. So some strange people around mind I have traveled a lot. Stayed there for one night but if I had a choice I would find somewhere else. You are not gonna get fun or cleanness or sleep there. I have seen much better hostels. Despite all of these the guy at the reception I met on the first day was very helpful, so I must give him credit.

Owner Comment (Show)
if you have travelled a lot and payed here 7 usd a night, then be back to earth and consider this is a clean and fun place obviously for people with the will to have fun, other peoples comments say more than yours, and of course there is always more options, try and book a 5 star hotel for your next stays, thank you.

This hostel was clean, friendly, had a pretty good atmosphere. It is right in the New Town, which is full of pumping touristy bars, clubs and restaurants, if that's your thing. If it's not, the hostel is still relatively quiet but I would recommend staying closer to the Old Town if you want history and culture - but it still only costs $3 in a taxi to get there from vibes hostel.

Good location in La Mariscal, very close to bars/restaurants. Bar area with pool table and foosball is great for socialising. Staff are helpful. Showers were more lukewarm than hot. Ask for dorm away from reception as can get a little noisy if you're trying to sleep.
