Althought we only stayed one night in this hostel it was great. It is very close to the centre of new town and has great facilitys; a huge kitchen and common room. I would recommend this hostel to anyone for a short stay as it is very close to the nightlife and is great fun.

Good, organised hostel and I met a lot of cool travellers there. Originally booked a hostel for one night and ended up staying for nine (partially due to waiting for a Galapagos Tour). Santiago and the rest of the staff are helpful with any activities or trips you want to do and even went on one or two days/nights out with us. Also, the location is right in the centre of La Mariscal which has a lot of cool places to go out to at night.

Great place, great location. Very sociable and very good value for money. Santiago and his staff can always advise you on places to go in Quito and around Ecuador and about staying safe here. Great bar, collection of DVD's and great pool table. I must have played over 30 games of pool in the 4-5 days I have been here. The Internet is fast and the showers are hot.

Nice Hostel! well located, friendly staff!!! Enjoyed my stay!!

Centrally located with other hostels in the famous Mariscal district. Security is being buzzed in at the gates. Appreciate the male front desk clerk's exceptional service despite his limited English. Breakfast was lovely. Free Wi-Fi, computer use, & towels. Only hangup was the noise. I was placed in a room on the main floor and it must have been once a large room converted into two. I can hear next room's conversations, their comings & goings, and obnoxious yelling in the main room one night.

Great hostel for the price! Very social place. Bar is always open!

nice hostel in an excellent location. very close to heaps of bars and restaurants but not that close that you cant sleep. Nice bar area with a pooltable and tv, so easy to meet people. Hostel was quite noisy, i was sleeping in the dorm next to the entrance and could literally hear the conversations in the dorm next to it. The toilets and showers outside was a bit weird as well as the double bathroom upstairs where you had to cross one to get to the other. Would go back because of the atmosphere

We are one of the historical buildings that are heritage places therefore the basic structures can not be changed at all, even so we have done our max effort to go beyond what we can do and offer more facilities in our building than you could find in another one of this type, is kind of strange that an avid traveller who has been to SA can tell that about our hostel, in anyway the toiletts and showers are separate, private and clean ......what else do you need ?

Had a great time at Vibes, Santiago is the man! Would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone visiting Quito, in a great spot, right on the bus line.

Vibes hostel is the best! I've come here twice during my travels now, and after being at hostels in almost every major tourist destination in Ecuador I can say with confidence that it is one of my top 3. Beds are comfortable, showers are hot, drinks are cheap, and the people are fantastic. What else could I actually want from a backpacker stay? Not to mention it's right by all the best clubs and restaurants in Quito... I will definitely stay here next time I fly here again.

Everyone was very helpful and super enthusiastic. Answered all my questions and even offered some suggestions. All the staff introduce themselves and are on a first name basis. Great location to the train, airport, and nightlife. Bar downstairs was great.

Hot water showers are not consistent. There is only 2 indoor (within hostel/house) showers with a strange design - one shower room is behind the other and one has to walk-through the first shower compartment to get to the second shower. Outdoor shower is really cold. There isnt enough hooks or hangers to hang anything in the shower bathrooms. No way to lock your room/dorm although lockers are available. Entrance/exit to/from hostel requires electronic unlock from the counter - inconvenient!

We are one of the historical buildings that are heritage places therefore the basic structures can not be changed at all, even so we have done our max effort to go beyond what we can do and offer more facilities in our building than you could find in another one of this type.Sad to know that you couldn't find anything like hangers or hot water when everyone else can find it, we would have loved to help you find it though. DORM rooms can be locked but everyone has a locker as well, the electric gate is electronic locked from the counter and we think is very convenient cause in this way we keep this place the safest. Thank you for mentioning all the facilities we have. We recommend you a luxury hotel for your next stays.

The guy who looks after the hostel is really nice and helpful but the hostel desperately needs a refurbishment and a bit more attention to the in house bathroom. Very close to the bus stop and it has some nice places to eat nearby.

We were happily surprised when we got @ the hostel. It was clean, quiet and the location was perfect! The people running Vibes Hostal were also very nice and one guy in particular was really helpful (Santiago). She speaks fluent English and Spanish. Vibes hostel provided breakfast every morning and it was fantastic! I was totally shocked. The location couldn’t be beat! It was just a couple blocks from Mariscal Mariscal is the main area in Quito where a lot of nightlife take place. I loved it!!!

Only stayed half a night, but seemed like a pretty good atmosphere there. Wouldn't go there if you just want to relax, definitely a party vibe. Staff were helpful and friendly.

What an unbelievably BOMB hostel. Vibes has a great atmosphere with lots of places to chill and meet your fellow travelers. The kitchen was really clean and the bathrooms were always stocked with papelito - huge plus. The bar is always pumping hits, has great cheap drinks and the bartenders are polite and dashing to boot. I can´t wait to come back to this hostel in the heart of Mariscal. ¡Viva Vibes!
