Nice and clean hostel with basement for partying. My dorm was next to the reception area and was therefore not very quiet. No party noise though. Staff was helpful and most speak English. Location is perfect, just off the busy streets of Mariscal. Breakfast is apparently not included for the biggest dorms, which is not specified on Hostelworld. But don't bother paying the $2 extra, because around the corner you can have a much better (and hot) breakfast for the same price.

I loved this hostel. Everything was fantastic. The professionalism and directions and help and location was all fantastic. I especially appreciated the wheat-bread at breakfast!

The owner is a great guy called Santiago and he really understands what travelers are looking for. I have stayed in the hostel for a longer time so I have seen how Santiago and the staff treat the people that stay in the hostel. The rooms are clean, the beds are great and they serve a decent breakfast. The bar area has a 60 inch TV with cable and a pool table. But most importantly, the atmosphere is really good. Every night, people sit outside and drink beers before going out in Mariscal.

My sister and I had a great time at this hostel. Not only is it easy to get around from this location, but the hostel has everything you need; a kitchen for cooking, a movie lounge with a variety of options, hot showers, lockers AND a pool table. There were lots of friendly people on staff and an overall great vibe at Vibes!

This hostel is one of the best I stayed in during my trip around South America. It is in a great location to see the local sights and enjoy a good night out and still be able to walk home. The staff are extremely helpful with anything you might need, especially providing airport transfers. Santi is an awesome guy and goes out of his way to make sure you are enjoying yourself and everyone in the on site bar is having a good night ( just be careful of the hangover the next day).

Definitely the best hostel I've stayed in whilst being in Latin America! Fairly small, which gives an intimate atmosphere and allows you to socialise easily with the other guests. Quirky decor and true to it's name with a fun, relaxed vibe and chilled out staff. Massive fan of the variety of music played in the bar, awesome stuff! I didn't find anywhere better to drink.

Unfortunately (as it is a party hostel), I was there at the wrong time, since during the weekend of the presidential election in Ecuador there was no booze allowed to be sold or consumed in the entire country! A shame as I was looking forward to the Chiva bus pub crawl haha. Otherwise, pretty cool atmosphere at the place, very laid back, a little noisy but it is in La Mariscal district so that can´t really be helped. Lockers in the room and a gate at the front so it´s fairly secure. Overall good

It was a very lovely place to stay - the staff were excellent and there was access to a computer, TV, kitchen, games room and bar. The atmosphere was lovely, it was clean, but the doors didn`t have a lock on, so you just had to trust that nobody would come in and take anything - which they didn`t so that`s good!

Great location halfway between old town and airport. Next to Foch plaza too. Don't eat there though unless you have money to burn! Santiago is very helpful and nice, and he can speak English as a bonus for the less fluent in Spanish. Only one shower in the main house which is a bit inconvenient, all else is good!

It is a good hostel for the price that you pay. I had a great time there. You have self service breakfast and a big TV if you want to watch some movie. The location is great, near it there are plenty of bars! Santiago, the owner, it's a great guy who helps you with every doubt you have (thanks for all Santiago!). The beds are really confortable, not all hostels have such a confortable bed!

Really good hostel close to all the local amenities and easy to get around the city. Had a nice kitchen and common area and rooms were spacious. The hostel was kept quite clean and there were enough showers in the back area. Staff were helpful but did not really 'wow'. Would stay again if I am back in Quito.
