There were some odd characters staying at the hostel, though this is no fault of the place.

The vending machine on 2nd floor ate my 2$, it appeared broken, but there was no sign about it being broken.

Within walking distance of Parliament, Old Parliament House, and National Gallery. All excellent. One block from the city bus which takes you everywhere. A lovely, quiet neighborhood. Coffee, restaurants, post office, grocer very nearby. Clean, quiet kitchen area, immaculate showers & bathrooms, coin laundry. Victor's was just what I needed.

We only stayed one night but we loved our room - had more than just two beds :) we were impressed that even though it was quite an old site it is so well maintained and clean. Definitely recommended. Also, it was lovely at night - very quiet!
