Wonderfully quiet and peaceful, love the outdoor atmosphere you've created and kitchen area. For me it could all have been a bit more sparkling for cleanliness. thanks though I enjoyed my stay

Very friendly staff. Bit of a walk to the falls/town but you could always take a taxi

If you stay in the first double room, that have the windows over the parking, you will listen all the people arriving with their cars at night, and it's possible during all the night. The bathroom need a restauration

Friendly staff but the shower and toilet arrangement was poor and the open air room was very intimidating with no real privacy. The curtains were inadequate. Not really value for money.

Twin room with shared bathroom: room was very quaint with good lighting for reading. Bathrooms could improve with little things like soap.... Staff was excellent. Quaint yard for relaxing. Only a few meal choices & only soup for vegetarians so you need a taxi into town if you're a vegetarian or if you don't order in advance.

We had a great stay at the very eccentric and hugely welcoming Vic Falls Backpackers, made special with the help of Blessing, Ray, Linda, Tamara and the rest of the amazing staff. We left our car here for 2 days when we went to Zambia and never doubted its safety. It may not be the newest establishment, but it has everything you could need, and the staff are willing to help with anything. We would definitely recommend!

Staff extremely helpful & organized. Stayed in ensuite double: overpriced & had holes in window screens & holes in mosquito net & large open slats in door

Easily one of the best lodges I've ever been to. The grounds are a maze of gardens, fountains, off-beat sculptures, hammocks and swinging chairs. There's a cafe that makes fresh food (great coffee). The staff, friendly and helpful, will assist you in booking all your VF activities. The highlight of my visit was a huge braai (African BBQ): the cafe cooked the meal, and backpackers sat around the fire eating, drinking, getting to know each other. I would come back to VF just to stay here again.

The facilities in the hostel is very basic. To get to the downtown, which is very small by itself, you need to walk for 10-15m or take a taxi for about 5 us dollars. Nothing really special. but it has best staffs you could expect. Blessing and Jay were very kind and helpful. I've stayed two nights in a 6-bed dorm room with all space to myself (thanks to Blessing) and had no problem to get all needed transfers and to enjoy the activities.

J at the front desk was fantastic. Booked all our activities and even brought in special entertainment for the 4th. To make all the Americans feel at home.

Really friendly staff and a great atmosphere. Easy-going and keen in helping out arranging stuff to do in Vic Falls and its vicinity. And that morning coffee was heavenly.

The hostel is a little bit out of town, but given the price that is completely understandable. The staff are amazingly helpful for bookings and activities, they've even put together some booklets which let you compare the different prices and deals. 10/10 would stay again.

Really nice stay in an original backpacker! We recommend it!

Far away from the center and border. You need to take a taxi to get to/from hostel (between $5-$10/each way) or take a 30 minutes walk. The private rooms are basic with small beds. They charge $3/day to use WiFi (first time in a hostel where internet is charged).

Helpful, polite and welcoming staff, the location was away from the town but not too far away to walk. Relaxing atmosphere big sociable and met a few interesting people. Would recommend this hostel.

Stayed here for 3 nights as a base in Vic Falls in the ensuite room. Basic accommodation but suitable for 3 nights. Jay, (manager I think) was extremely helpful in booking tours. We went on Chobe half day, sunset dinner cruise on Zambezi River and a private game tour at Stanley Game reserve. Chobe and cruise were amazing - a highlight of our 5 months away. Bathroom in room not very private and little cracks in building but didn't seem to attract insects. Overall, a wonderful stay.
