Great hostel. Very well organised with lockers for food and in the rooms and tubs for the fridges and food storage. Do an amazing free BBQ on Mondays. Rooms were big and clean. And there are a lot of communal areas. Really good shower. The only drawback would be that the kitchen is quite small and there is literally just one oven for all the cooking.

Room was good with fridge and fan and sink but no air con which was horrible when it was 42 degrees! Especially on a night. Pub downstairs which was cheap ish with a good social area outside to drink and smoke. Really good free BBQ on Monday nights. Showers and toilets were clean. Free wifi was excellent. No laundry facilities available. Location is a bit rubbish, 30 minutes tram ride to cbd, near some nice cafes and pubs though. Free luggage room to use, check out is 12pm! Overall great hostel

Very lovely and homelike hostel situated in the cool Brunswick area. I really enjoyed this small hostel after the big ones in CBD. My room was just renovated as well as the showers. Staff is very friendly and downstairs bar good value for money. This is the kind of hostel where you feel at home and want to stay longer than you booked for.

Victoria hostel is a welcoming and friendly place. You get a free drink when checking in. The place si cleaned every monday but they also make sure to keep it tidy. Monday is actually the best day there cause you also get a free bbq and it's a great way to meet people and make friends ( plus free food come oooon). Brunswick may not be the best neighborhood in Melbourne but Victoria hostel makes it better.

Very quiet at night which was awesome for us. Kitchen was so small..if there were lots of people staying at this hostel there would be no cutlery and everyone would be fighting over the one stove..I think we saw 4 bowls for the whole place. Staff seemed to be a little confused about what was going on. One person says one thing, another person has no idea what your talking about. The bed we had was uncomfortable..we're not 10yr olds who can sleep on those anymore.
