Property Information:
Created in 2010 by the two friends, the hostel Vidigalbergue is located in the sea side, between neighborhoods of Leblon and Sao Conrado, in the Favela of Vidigal.
The local it is very secure, now with the UPP ( Pacific Police Unit ) !!!
The hostel offers a lot of types of transport and is located 3Km from Ipanema and 5Km from Copacabana.
Besides the excellent location, the hostel has a unique and stunning view to the sea, providing mostly in the summer watching a fantastic sunrise and sunset!!!!
We offer Breakfast, Towel for rent, Air conditioning and ceiling fan, Bar lounge, Happy hour, Kitchen for the guest, Linens included, Taxes included, Total security, lockers for everybody , Transport from the Airport and from the Road

**New year and carnival 2010 2011- our packages for these periods have flexible check in!Book online with the fix dates and email us the check in date you would like to come with your booking reference!!!
-The New Year package has a minimum stayed period of 4 nights starting on December, 25th with check out on January, 4th . We charge an extra 30% before arrival on your booking deposit for reconfirmation (this will be debit in your credit card). This amount will be discounted to the total you will have to pay at the hostel.
- The carnival package deal has a minimum of 7 nights. The dates are flexible and apply from march 2st until the 10th of march included.
We charge an extra 30% before arrival on your booking deposit for reconfirmation (this will be debit in your credit card). This amount will be discounted to the total you will have to pay at the hostel.
*Remember that we just accept bookings in New Year and Carnival for the packages offered before. If you make a reservation for less days and not including the days mentioned they wont we taken as a valid reservation and you will lose the deposit.
*Pick up is not included for passengers. We can book for you a taxi for R$ 80) International Airport ( rate for 3 people in the same car )
*Cancellations for New Year Package can be made before November, 30th with a 100% refund of the total amount.
After that date the amount that has been already paid wont be refunded.
*Cancellations for Carnival can be made before January, 20th with a 100% refund of the total amount.

Latest Review
Showers were very poor with little hot water and they seemed very dark and dirty. Location is quite far away from central Rio. Staff were excellent. Although we were in a favela we felt very safe as there was a constant police presence. However, the lockers provided were far too small, you'd struggle to keep a laptop in them. Would probably stay more central next time, however it is cheap and does have amazing views out over the ocean.
