Enjoyed my stay there. Great dorm, nice staff and a good place to meet other travellers. Near to the river and loads of restaurants and bakerys around. Would definetly recommend it !

It's a great value for money place in Laos. I met some terrific travellers there.

If this was a $5 USD/night hostel, I wouldn't mind returning here if I were on a budget. The staff are very warm and friendly and the place is fairly clean. However, there are plenty of hotels you can stay at for 10-20/night. If money is an issue, this is worth a night or two. Otherwise, I'd recommend arriving to Vientiane without a reservation and walk around to find a place. I actually 'checked-out' of the hostel the day I arrived because I found a single room at a hotel for 10/night.

We arrived and they didn't have record of our confirmation even though I had emailed them after booking through hostelworld. They sent us one street overto funky monkey - ran by the same people and guess pretty much the same thing. Dorms fine - staff ok.

Only 2 toilets between all guests, but somehow it works without any real wait. Good atmosphere in communal area and rooms fairly comfortable.

Although there were only 2 toilets for all the 50 beds, it wasn't bad.

Good atmosphere, nice common area to meet people, close to the centre of town, friendly staff and free breakfast to top it off! The lockers are very basic cupboards under the bunkbeds, but apart from that I enjoyed my stay.

VPH seems to have a ton of people coming and going, but it's a clean and safe place nonetheless. The atmosphere promoted is artistic and chill. The staff is very willing to help as much as possible. Beds were very comfortable! Really close to shops and restaurants, not too far from the river. Great little place for a bargain.

It´s ok, but you can get a single/double room in the same street, for the same money. I stayed in the upper dorm room and it was very hot in there, air-con didn´t help much. The breakfast was good, the staff was ok. It was a bit of a pity that there were only bathrooms on the ground floor and I didn´t like the no shoe policy, because the floors weren´t actually that clean. All in all, you can stay here, but there are quite a few greater options in that same road.

The rooms were big and it didn't feel like a usual 12 bed dorm, good lockers for bags under the beds and very clean. Downside, not enough bathroom facilities for the amount of people staying there, that being said you never had to wait long! Some of the staff there however were rude and snappy, so don't expect great customer service!

Wonderful place to stay! The hostel is located right in the main city area so it is easy to walk everywhere. Staff are extremely helpful and interact very well with everyone who was staying there. Rooms are clean and the showers are amazing! Free Lao Lao isn't the best "vodka" but who cares, its free! I would definitely stay here again!

Best hostel in Laos! Very clean. Amazing showers (compared to other hostels and guesthouses I've stayed). Great location. Helpful staff. Free breakfast. Highly recommend staying here if you are passing through Vientiane!

I very much enjoyed staying at this hostel. The social vibe of the hostel is great, sometimes the music can be a little loud but if you just let the staff know they are very accommodating! Good location, near night market and the river front.

Pros: Good location, nice staff, free vodka, and good showers. Cons: 2 bathrooms for the whole place, AC only on at night, and luckily I didn't get any but one of my dorm mates had bed bugs. Overall good for the price.

I like the hostel providing hot water for bathrooms. Throughout my stay in Laos, this is the only place where I can enjoy really warm shower. The location is superb, just in the city center. The stuff sold at hostel is rather expensive, which you can get things like mineral water, food, bus ticket cheaper at other place. Overall is value for money.

The place was alright but they suffer from smelly drains. It didn't bother me too much though. Vientiane is a big city with very little to do. Don't waste too much time here.

Good location, clean beds but the floors are filthy and they make you take your shoes off- I had permanently black feet. Agree with other comments about the staff- unfriendly to the point of being rude. Felt like I was imposing asking for breakfast.....

The place to stay in Vientiane, in my opinion. Staff is super cool. Not enough showers for the whole hostel and internet was down more than once but all in all a pleasant place to stay, right in the center of town.
