Very safe neighbourhood, very central. We were there middle of the week in low season so there was no atmosphere at all, but the decorations and layout was really cute and good for what they have to work with. Amazing wifi, warm showers, big lockers, kitchen, clean and very comfy rooms. However was quite expensive for a hostel that small and no breakfast.

Good hostel, even better location. Safe part of town almost felt like I was back in Sydney. Kitchen was excellent, rooms a little mouldy but all OK. Atmosphere was a little down but fofor a short stay was good and close to metro station

I had a brilliant stay at Vila Madelena Hostel, the facilities were excellent and the large, spacious common areas were creatively decorated and gave the place a great atmosphere. The bathrooms and kitchen were cleaned daily and to a good standard, plus the rooms were spacious and didn´t feel cramped. The staff were also really helpful, so an all-round winner! Only slight downside is the hostel´s proximity to metro stations, which are 15 - 20 mins walk away, but you´ve got legs...

The hostel is really nice and has a great atmosphere. The beds are quite comfortable and the lockers are spacious and work well. The "lounge" area outside is great and includes chairs, hammocks and a pool table. The only downside is the condition of the bathrooms, which need some remodeling (don't forget to bring your flip flops)! Still, I recommend the hostel and would definitely go back.

Wouldnt recommend this place. The beds are hard and uncomfortable, the rooms stinks and are dirty as well, and so is the kitchen and the bathrooms. The staff are lazy.

Beds aren't the most comfortable. Air conditioning in rooms was good. Nice hostel

All round good hostel. Beds are comfy and showers are hot. Theres a kitchen with all the utensils. Staff are always easy to talk to and with great recommendations. The only downfall is the lack of breakfast....that would make it much better.

Staff are amazing

Couldn't have asked for nicer/friendlier staff. They are lovely and always willing to help out/advise on the best places to go. Lots of communal space and quite open but we felt safe and secure. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting São Paulo. Only downside is the water shortage but that is city wide and can't be helped.

This is an amazing place. The staff really went the extra mile to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The bar serves up some seriously tasty burgers at a great price. Rooms are nice and spacious and the beds are comfortable. It's in a decent location in a nice neighbourhood though it's a 20 min walk from the metro. Hard to find anything to fault.
