When I arrived the guy at the recepcion (alan) showed me everything and told me what to do and where to go. He was really nice and helpful. I recomend this place also for the location in vila madalena that for me is tge best area in sao, plenty of bars and art everywhere
This hostel is very well located for going out to bars and museums. a bit of a pain to get to from the metro station but nothing excessive. staff kno the city really well and were more than willing to help. i wanted to buy a cheep phone for carnaval and the guy showed me where the sao paulo "technology market street" was. got a bargain! Bathrooms are a bit few and unkept but breakfast is good enough and the rooms are clean. has a bar open to public at night but the rest of the hostel gets lockd
This is a nice hostel with nice, friendly and helpful staff- especially Miguel & Alan. And Yes, it has an 'aesthetic' vibe to it... Certainly- very good value-for-money
Good all in all. One of the better hostels. The workers were helpful. Cheper to book trugh hostelworld then to just show up there.
The staff is great and very helpful! Allan knows a lot about gastronomy and cool restaurants! The bar in the hostel is pretty cool and the food, amazing!!! Loved my stay there and the atmosphere!

Great place in a great part of town. The staff is very friendly and always very helpful whenver you need something. The place is very relaxed and is owned by a lovely couple. The wife cooks some wonderful dishes, while the husband can talk to you for hours about their local selection of brews
Great hostel, very friendly staff with good recommendations for what to do in Sao Paulo
There's lots of little touches to make the place interesting, a good number of bathrooms and a generous amount of common space to hang out in when you need a break from the city. There's even a hammock. Great map
Great place to stay with very friendly staff! Many thanks!
Generally this is a nice hostel. It has some nice features... A common area with TV, big shower, and a bar open to the public with imported beer. Also its in a nice area. However I recommend not staying in the 12 room dorm if you want peace. It was noisy with people coming and going at all hours, shuffling around in their lockers, and dropping things in the middle of the night. The smaller dorms upstairs looked more comfortable and had the lockers outside, which is probably less noisy.
A really nice staff, full breakfast, plenty of bathrooms, more than enough internets, and walking distance from a great place to go out at night. And air conditioning in the rooms
You can´t bring your own beer, it´s just a very boring hostel.

We stayed at Vila madelena for 3 nights and we highly recommend this place. It's extremely clean and very organised, a lot of efforts is put in to this place and attention to detail. Best hostel we been to so far. Amazing location and helpful staff. Stay here if you want a amazing experience in Sao paolo in bohemian area.

Great place to stay! Cosy and cool little hostel where they play jazz music in the common area. Safe neighborhood, good breakfast and the owner is really nice and helpful - all the staff is! There is a cool little bar attached to the place where locals come to enjoy good special Brazilian beer. Overall a really nice place, I would go back anytime if staying in São Paulo again:-) warm recommendations!
The hostel was nice but very quiet not much happening the owner was very nice and informative but I don't think k he knows about a backpacker budget beers in the hostel were all local and different but he was charging 20 real a beer and some more (not exactly budget) and also sent us to a pizza place that was about 65 real per pizza nice but again not what a backpacker on a budget is looking for. Nice place and staff though
Great hostel in a safe area. I would recommend this hostel to everyone visiting Sao Paulo. They know exactly what you have to visit.
It is a great hostel, people from the staff are all very friendly and welcoming, the room I stayed in was really comfortable. Bathrooms are really clean. The only con, is that it is a little bit far away from the metro station, but it's not that important.
A very cool place in a very fun area, 5-10 minutes from some cool bars and restaurants. Unfortunately a bit of a hike from the metro when you have a heavy bag but it's fine. The owner was very friendly and knowledgable if a litte too talkative at times. He has some great plans to serve local food and craft beer in the hostel that I hope people will appreciate! It's easy to meet people here and a great mix of 50% brasilieros and 50% gringos! Thanks!
The staff are very helpful and the vibe is really nice.
