A beautifully decorated, clean and confortable hostel. The people who work there are really interested in helping you to explore the city and really know everything about it. The ambient sound is carefully chosen and makes you relax. The breakfast is poor. The air conditioning was not working adequately in my room, but that was not a problem at all. The hostel is not far from the subway, which I guess is the best kind of transportation. There are lots of pubs and restaurants in the surroundings.

Not many hostels have air conditioning in Brazil. The air conditioning is perfect without any problem and you can set up as you like it or ask some one to do it as anywhere around the word and not only in hostels (strange your comment about it). We doesn't provide breakfast (we don't have breakfast) and it's clear in your booking, but we have a coffe break between 7h to 19h with cookies, cake, coffe and tea. You will never loose it, go to parties and wake up late! Or just after your long walk in our tourist spots you can enjoy our coffe break and it's free! Have a nice trip and thanks about your other comments!

The hostel is very well located. It is close to a "bus only" line - paulista av. in minutes - which is connected to the metro. The neighbourhood has a lively night, which includes places to eat, to drink and to dance. It s charming the way it s organized. calm streets are home to big office towers, houses turned into stores, bars, restaurants and more. this whole mixture just fits in so well that these streets dont really seem to stop, yet having such a residencial and peaceful atmosphere.

1 Real a page for printing! Expensive! However the place was really nice, and the staff are very friendly.

It's not our business printing. We don't want to make money printing, it's just for give a hand to our guests and you didn't realised that. If you go to a lan house it will be the same or more and it is the business of than. Reviews like you makes me thing about to stop printing, but our guests needs this service and we try to help than. Why did you pay? Do you want we stopping with this service? We want to provide accomodation and not printing services.

I stayed in VM for 3 nights and found it an immaculate, relaxing, high quality brief home. What I have to recommend though is the warmth of the staff: extraordinarily helpful and friendly. I don't think I've ever met better hostel staff, or ones that look up information like how much storage in Rio's airport costs without you even asking! While they don't serve breakfast, there are coffee, tea, and snacks available all day. (VM - Why not offer breakfast, though, guys? It brings people together!)

Thanks for all your comments. Different from other hostels in town we are in a very safety area and with lots of bars, clubs, galeries of arts and in a easy way to reach buses and metro. We do not employ foreigners. Our workers are legal and the hostel has license to operate. As you wrote we are comfortable, free wi fi, and with an excellent infrastructure. Our rates are very cheap comparing with all our costs. In our opinion is better to have cokies, tea, coffe during 7am to 19pm than a bad breakfast until 10am. For thouse who wake up late or came back after a long walk it is perfect!!

I stayed in the hostel for a weekend, but I have to say it was a great experience. It's adorable, very clean and has a great atmosphere.Close to many restaurants, shops and the lovely Benedito Calixto Fair I think you'll all have an amazing time!

It's my house whenever I go to São Paulo, I don't even consider staying anywhere else. I have everything I need in Vila Madalena: incredibly comfortable beds, cleanliness all around, numerous bathrooms, wi-fi internet, a well-equiped kitchen, spacious rooms and a large outdoors area, and, above all, a polite, friendly, cheerful and dedicated staff who make you feel right at home. I'm grateful for Túlio and all the boys and girls in Vila Madalena!

Pretty hostel that seems to be in a good area of Sao Paulo. Great staff and nice indoor/outdoor common areas. No morning breakfast but plenty of bakeries nearby!

This has to be the nicest hostel I have ever stayed in. Although it can be tiring getting to the metro stop, the atmosphere is great. The staff are helpful and they have set it up in a really nice way, with hammocks, a great kitchen and living area and a really pleasant vibe with jazz and blues music playing outside.
