The location was really great, close to Paulista Ave and to a metro station. The Staff was really friendly and helpful. There are also a lot of events at the hostel, though my friend and I didn't go to any

I was able to store my things before checkin time and got all the information on the super close and very safe metro and other things to do in the city. The metro gets you anywhere you need to go in a few minutes and even walking back from the station at night is no problem since the area is every safe and quiet. Unbelievably nice staff, especially Gabriela, and people were totally relaxed and there are always activities (cooking, ...). Breakfast was fine. Very clean. Definitely recommendable!

Vila Rock is a bit out of the way, but you can walk to Avenida Paulista in about 15 minutes (though I wouldn't recommend that at night). We booked a double private room and ended up in a dorm room with bunk beds around the sides and a double bed in the center of the room. No one else was booked to stay in the room so it was a private double, but it was an awkward setup, especially since the bathroom was located across the main lobby. Overall, a decent stay.

This is my 1st ever hostel experience and this is definitely one to be cherished for a long time! The staff members are very very friendly! I wish I could stay just one more night to join their St. Patrick's Day party. Ricardo is very helpful in giving me suggestions on what to do during the day and night. You have a good size locker that you can find in a gym. The entire building is very clean. It is 5 minutes away from Sumare metro station, extremely convenient! Great stay!!

Unfortunately the atmosphere wasn't quite so good at this hostel and I felt like almost the only backpacker there - perhaps it was bad timing as well. I also chose the 20 bed dorm which was a bit of a mistake (1 bathroom for that room wasn't enough). It also felt like at least half the room guests were living there for a long time, which made me feel a little bit different. The 'bar' is a fridge at reception and the terrace wasn't much. Common areas were nice and the breakfast was pretty good.

This hostel had good facilities, was clean and very secure. However, it was very quiet when I was there, which is fine depending on what you're looking for, and the location was quite far from any sightseeing or bars. Also worth noting, there is no signage on the front of the hostel so I found it very difficult to find initially. Just look for the purple building.

Perfectly placed right beside the metro. Easy to find. Staff were absolutely fantastic. There's a good community & atmosphere. The power went one night and we sat around playing guitar and cajon by candle light. Plenty of different choices for breakfast - toast with butter/jam, different cereals, fruit, coffee & biscuits. Would recomend.
