A unique, eco architecture design building built by the owner -- Tchepo, which is also his home. Location is in the local area of Cozumel not very far from the center, and close to good eateries and supermarket. I enjoyed my time there tremendously because of the atmosphere, great suggestions, conversations, and hospitality of Tchepo. I was the only tenant during my 2 day stay and he upgraded me to a wonderful room with its own bathroom, which included a delicious breakfast. Great stay!
Very helpful and friendy owner. That place is not far from the town centre in a quiet neighbourhood. The rooms are set back in a nice landscaped garden. The room i stayed in was clean, secure and i had hot water in the shower. There are also fans in the rooms. The guy who runs the place is speaking different languages and organized a wonderful diving trip for me. It was great to spent time on the roof terrace together with other guests. I recommend this place to every Mexico traveller!!!

This place didn't match previous reviews. It's in a quiet location but is a long way from the centre- map is deceptive as there's quite a walk between each block. We had booked a double with shared bathroom but were given a twin room. When we pulled the beds together it was obvious no cleaning had occurred for sometime including a dead cockroach. The bathroom was filthy but was cleaned when we asked We booked it specifically for the self catering but the owner let us use kitchen begrudgingly.

We booked based on the quite positive reviews written previously. We booked 3 nights in a private room with ensuite for 700 pesos per night. What we got: - 20min walk from town (not advised to walk after dark) - dirty room - stained bath towels with holes the size of golf balls - no hot water - cold eggs at breakfast if you're not there first - no curtain over bathroom window for complete privacy - no AC We left after 2 nights and got a room in town for 550 pesos a night. Much better
This is actually the owner's home, and we found Txepo to be very welcoming and kind! Despite the fact that we stayed in his house, we still had a lot of privacy, as the whole house is like a magic labyrinth of courtyards, terraces and towers. It is worth taking a taxi from the ferry, as it is about 20 mins walk (without suitcases); however this is where the real locals live and there are plenty of superb cheap eateries. It was a lovely place and we were sad to leave!
