My husband and I loved this hotel. It was a beautiful 16th century castle run by a family who treated us with kindness and were very helpful. Our room on the 2nd floor overlooked the beautiful city of Siena about a 20 min car ride away. They had a great spread for breakfast of cereal, toast/croissants, juice, expresso machine coffee. You can get a bus there but I would recommend hiring a car and driving through the lovely Tuscany region. The pool was big and clean too.

Our stay at Villa Cennina was magical. The place was amazing and the people were fantastic. Everyone was so welcoming and were made to feel like a part of the family. We went during the time of the Palio and the whole city was alive, deffinately something I would recommend. It is up to 25 Euros in a cab to get there from Siena but well worth it to experience the Tuscan countryside.

very good hostel, very very friendly and helpful staff :)

Villa Cennina is absolutely the best place to stay near Siena. The Villa and grounds (including the pool) are beautiful, and the drive into the city is very short. The owner is a fantastic man who prepared dinner and breakfast for us for a very small charge, and he even drove us into Siena for Il Palio. I stayed with a group of six fellow students, and we all want to return to Siena just to stay at the Villa Cennina.

breakfeast is very very limited ...and staff is very absent.... water in a room is a big problem....

this is a beutiful and clean place to stay, the staff is very nice and when over and above to make our stay smooth. You do need to have a car to stay at this place. will higly recomend this to everyone.

Just beautiful! A very nice place for couples and anybodyelse who enyojes beauty of nature and prestige home all at once!
