The only good thing for This hostel is that's close from airport. ;
Amazingly helpful and friendly staff, even got to check in a bit early having got the overnight bus from flores, this was a life saver. A few minutes walk from the town centre but this did mean a really relaxing roof terrace, wonderful views and great security for the building. Overall had a great stay here and would recommend to anyone.
Nice quiet location and staff was very helpful.
Showers were not hot. Beds covered in plastic just isn't a solution, pretty much impossible to be comfortable on. This results in a room filled with rustling noises through the night as everyone tries to adjust their position.
I found a bed bug in the middle of the night fool of blood!!! Two hours later a spider was coming down from the ceiling and I could not kill it. I asked for soap and was told I had to wait for about one hour until the maid arrived. Good thing I had cash to pay for my stay for two nights ($70.00). Not a good place to stay one night.

Nice but pretty boring hostel if you want to meet people. Kitchen and terass is very good. Beds are really uncomfortable though. Good hostel. Would stay here again.
The hostel was very friendly but geared towards younger travelers. The roof top terrace was definitely the highlight of the hostel because of its view and peacefulness. On a map the location of the hostel doesn't look good but in reality everything is pretty much within a 15 minute walk or less. Its only about 5 minutes from the central park in the middle of Antigua.
The hostel was nice and very laid back. I really liked the rooftop terrace with the hammocks. It would've been nice if the bar had been open more often but other than that it was overall an enjoyable experience.
nica place, clean and beautiful view on volcano.
Pleasant hotel. Nothng too special but met all our needs. Room was a good size, everything was clean, and the location was fine
Lady at reception was extremely helpful and spoke English. She even went out of her way to help us locate our lost cameras. The community kitchen was great and the rooftop deck was nice although the bar didn't open the night we were there.

Villa Esthela is situated a little far out from the square, but also in a little quiet neighborhood, a little sketchy at night from my perception. The guard the night we arrived was kind enough to upgrade us from a dormitory to a private after a 17 hour bus journey to Antigua. The place itself is clean and quiet, and has a nice upper deck with a view of the city below.
We enjoyed our stay at this hostel. The facilities were clean and fresh water always provided. The hostel was a little hard to find when we first arrived as it is off the main rd down a little alley but it was a cute little hostel and would definitely stay here again, the staff were very nice as well and were happy to organise our shuttle to san cristobal.
