Was no room availability at this hotel but the manager was so kind to provide me a large clean room in a newly renovated hotel, named the Nora Sinh Inn Guesthouse, very close to the hotel Villa Merry Lao III which I have booked initially via Hostelworld. My compliments to Mr. Thu

Especially a Vietnamese girl in the reception desk was very kind, gave me numerous helpful advice, and she was very cute. Thank you for everything.

It's really to expensive for this kind of room. You can find better Guesthouse for half a price!! Anayway, Staff is really kind, the room was clean, but smelling bad cause of humidity.

Lovely location and well decorated rooms. Very helpful staff but the bath was badly cracked and the bath leaked.

The hostel was clean, breakfast was tasty, and the hostess Thu is amazing. I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone in Luang Prabang - great hospitality.

The rooms do not have deadbolt locks but we felt very safe and had no security issues. Jenny at the desk was excellent! We would have liked at least one hand towel for the room. The bar next door was noisy but quieted down by 10 pm weeknights, this was not a problem. We had problems charging some of our 110 AC appliances even with convertors and/or 120/240 chargers. In our limited experience, this is an issue in SouthEast Asia. (Some places work fine, others don't.)

The staff was excellent. The rest was just okay. Overall we did not like this Guesthouse and would not recommend it. We room was cold, dark and not welcoming at all. The breakfast was not good. We had to ask to get our room cleaned. It was a long walk, about 15-20 minutes, to the market and "downtown" Luang Prabang.

Wonderful staff, so helpful and so friendly! A great location across from Hive bar and 1 minute from Lao Lao Bar. 5 - 10 minutes from restaurants and the main street of markets as well as the main area where the monks receive alms. A fantastic place to stay which I would highly recommend to anyone and would definitely stay here again if I return to Luang Prabang!

We arrived quite late at night so didn't really assess the hotel until the morning. Not very clean at all, filthy under beds and linen grubby. Cigarette butts outside on the balcony. We reported that our shower was broken but no attempt to fix it was made during our four night stay/ and /or apology. Very noisy guests up all night during our visit too which was unfortunate. We had to ask for toilet rolls every day and noted other guests doing the same. Rooms not serviced at all. Expensive for La

The hotel is fine, clean. The only problem is that there is a bar just in front of it and it is very noisy at night until midnight. so if you want to rest it is not the best place.

Villa Merry Lao III was a great place to stay. We ended up staying for a week. The staff are helpful, that would be Thu that runs the whole place. She was able to tell us where to go for things and what price to pay. The hotel is nice and small. There is a bar across the road but it isnt very noisy . Everyting closes at 11.30pm in Luang Prabang. The room itself was very neat and tidy. We would love to come back.

The welcome in Luang Prabang was superb. We were picked up at the airport by the owner of the hostel. He spoke excellent English and gave us some tips to help us to make the most of our stay in Luang Prabang. Tu, the girl who was our host for the rest of the time at the hostel, was delightful, friendly, spoke perfect English and did anything and everything to make our stay perfect. Her banana pancakes are amazing, too. Rooms were clean, roomy and comfortable. Very highly recommended.

After reading recent reviews and finding this to be the best rated, with a little higher than most prices we decided this would be our place to stay. The owners blog is a load of rubbish. We arrived on time as stated, yet we were not welcomed in any way or form. The reception did not know we were arriving. With neither of the two (ONLY) staff speaking any english, I had to show my booking from my emails on my laptop. Things were difficult and confusing for the following 3 days. Regretful!
