A solid, clean & comfortable hostel. Near enough to the busy tourist streets, but more quiet. We returned for an additional 4 nights.

The hotel is close to everything, but there´s a bar next door with loud music 'til 11:30pm (Laos has a curfew after that). The twin room was big, w/ confy beds, AC & a small fridge. Breakfast was simple but fresh (you can choose from different types of breakfasts). Wifi dind´t work at all, must computers could't even find the network. Most staff had very limited English, which made it difficult to solve little problems, exception was a proactive Vietnamese girl that arrived on our last day there

Very nice place to stay, close to all the best bars and restraunts. Friendly staff, very welcoming and easy going. Main bathroom drain clogged in our room

We were over run with mosquitoes. The bed linen wasn't spotless but staff we're excellent.

Villa Merry Lao III is a nice place but is only of average quality based on the price asked. Room security is poor with only a push lock door and no safe. Don't expect the beds to be made on extended stays (we were there 4 nights, same linen & condition when we left in morning) Desk staff were helpful but the impression was of being understaffed. Location is not bad, but would recommend looking elsewhere.

This place is great :) Sadly no common area for meeting people really, but Thu is the BEST guesthouse staff I've ever met!! She made my stay here so much better!!

Was no room availability at this hotel but the manager was so kind to provide me a large clean room in a newly renovated hotel, named the Nora Sinh Inn Guesthouse, very close to the hotel Villa Merry Lao III which I have booked initially via Hostelworld. My compliments to Mr. Thu

Especially a Vietnamese girl in the reception desk was very kind, gave me numerous helpful advice, and she was very cute. Thank you for everything.

It's really to expensive for this kind of room. You can find better Guesthouse for half a price!! Anayway, Staff is really kind, the room was clean, but smelling bad cause of humidity.

Lovely location and well decorated rooms. Very helpful staff but the bath was badly cracked and the bath leaked.

The hostel was clean, breakfast was tasty, and the hostess Thu is amazing. I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone in Luang Prabang - great hospitality.

The rooms do not have deadbolt locks but we felt very safe and had no security issues. Jenny at the desk was excellent! We would have liked at least one hand towel for the room. The bar next door was noisy but quieted down by 10 pm weeknights, this was not a problem. We had problems charging some of our 110 AC appliances even with convertors and/or 120/240 chargers. In our limited experience, this is an issue in SouthEast Asia. (Some places work fine, others don't.)

The staff was excellent. The rest was just okay. Overall we did not like this Guesthouse and would not recommend it. We room was cold, dark and not welcoming at all. The breakfast was not good. We had to ask to get our room cleaned. It was a long walk, about 15-20 minutes, to the market and "downtown" Luang Prabang.
