Villa Pastor was great! The owners were really nice and helpful. We got in early and stopped in before we started our hike into the canyon and they gave us maps and directions before we were even really staying there.
The hostel was quite basic, it was mostly well cared for though and clean. The beds were comfy but the rooms were very cold as the windows weren't great. The breakfast staff were friendly and it was nice enough - your standard bread and jam and tea affair. They had luggage storage for those trekking in the canyon but you had to pay. Not bad for the price and location though. Tjtel showers were hot enough too.
The room itself was basic but decent. The senora running it was extremely rude and unhelpful, every time we had to ask for anything it seemed like we were really bothering her. Really protective of wifi password (only place in town with wifi) and changed the password every 6 hours, resulting in us having to ask for it 3 times and she got annoyed every time we asked. The bathroom was not cleaned, in the morning the toilet was blocked and when we came back that night the toilet was still blocked.
