The houseowner is the son but the mother recepted us. The lady was fine. But the house is far from stations & the center. we were stunned to find the owner's phone was disappointedly turned off, we can only rely on the taxi. The room is old & simple. no deco. promised wifi/internet was not available. it made our next day very hard, we can't get the bus schedules and confirmations. The owner is super friendly and it was really fun chatting with him. He made us big and delicious breakfast. However our room was poor (though clean) and definitely not worth 20 eur/person/night. Hostel is not placed where the map shows on the web page. If you want to see the real location, enter the address into Google maps. Villa Salzburg has a great location close to the wonderful public beach in Rovinj. A big plus is the host Sandro, very friendly and helpful, you won\'t need anyone else to ask for information once you\'ve met him. Speaks excellent german and english. The optional breakfast is also excellent, served by the host himself. No safety issues here, it\'s as calm as it gets. Rooms are basic, but clean with no problems whatsoever. Very friendly, quiet and relaxed atmosphere, good prices, perfectly situated near the sea,... The breakfast is copious, fresh and delicious (and that for only 5 euro!) - like Germans (or Austrians) expect it to be;-)) I can only recommend to pay the additional 5 euro for the breakfast. The centre of Rovinj isn't very far, but far enough for sleeping well. The personal is very nice and helpful. Good points: Near a beach - watch out for the old wrinkly nudists if you head down there! Shower was great. Room was fine with a nice little balcony and a coffee maker. Very secure with 3 locks. Rooms were nice, AC would have been a plus but it wasn't too bad. Very close to the beach and just a few minute drive from down town. Great price and staff was friendly. The Villa is quite close enough from the beach, you can go walking in 10 minutes. The room was too basic and normal, all we know for the prize we pay do have to expect a 4 seasons suite room but a little of decoration wouldn´t be something bad.The Villa is quite close enough from the beach, you can go walking in 10 minutes. The best part of Villa Salzburg was the host, Sandro. He was extremely welcoming and friendly and made us feel very comfortable. He is a cool dude! The house is located about a 20 minute walk from the city centre, but only a 5 minute walk from the beach. Sandro compensates for the distance by offering free pick-up and drop-off from the bus station with your luggage.
