Villa Serenity Reviews

The property was under construction and our rooms weren't ready. They gave us absolutely no notice of this, despite booking months prior. Then farmed us out to another place 10 minutes inland by car! The place was isolated, one village shop. The next day the rooms weren't ready so we had to wait until 5pm - another day wasted. The owner was smarmy and suggested we go somewhere else - on Dec 31st! He didn't offer us a discount or even a drink to compensate. Never again. Avoid this place!

The place was newly renovated but it meant ad-hoc repair works of the water heater, air-con and door lock...we were told that we 'must' stay at the 'Coco' villa, which was a cramp, poorly ventilated room (i discovered later that it was priced at 325k rupiah/night, not the 400k rupiah better room I paid for. Because of the un-lockable door, we got transferred to a much bigger room at night. I also got food poisoning at the cafe, back-ache from the bed. Pillows smelled un-washed too...Worst stay..

Nice resort that is suitable for families, backpackers or solo travellers. It was a little difficult to find when we arrived, but Our room was nice, the food is dangerously delicious, and the staff were pleasant and helpful. I'd stay there again.
