Marko is beyond lovely, helping us with motorbikes, wine and any query we had. He cooked a BBQ and invited everyone to join. The hostel is up a hill but has lovely views. Just a really nice honest hostel to stay in, highly recommend for a friendly croatian experience.

Really enjoyed our time at this "Hostel" (its more like a resort without a pool). Beutiful view, a great setup, laundry and kitchen facilities, bar on the main balcony. Martko and his wife are great hosts and look after the guests superbly. I would totally reccommend this place to everyone. P.S. Martko's wife is pretty easy on the eye also.

I ve stayed in many hostels across Europe recently and Villa Skansi is my favorite so far. The staff and owners( Matko and Julia) are genuine, friendly and very helpful. They provided me with much information including how to find the best beaches, and where the best places to eat and drink are. You can rent scooters,The Dorms are immaculate and secure, There s a bar on the hostels sun terrace, also, the other guests I met were a relaxed bunch and a good laugh. See you all next year I hope!

Really nice hostel with new facilities. The owner was extremely helpful especially with boat hire. He gave us a good rate and took us to the shops beforehand and gave us an esky filled with ice to use for the day. Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely hostel. Lovely staff. Free internet and wifi fi. 2 kitchens, one of which is outside (but under cover). They rent out boats and scooters there also. cute little restaurant around the back - ask for directions, owner is really lovely and amazing food. Short walk to the beach and town. Only fault is they top bunk is awfully low to the bottom bunk. so mind ya head!

We were disapointed with the hostel. The photographs and hostel reviews were very positive, it's slightly misleading. We booked a twin room - the room was a box cupboard off a 10 bed dorm and we shared the bathroom. loose wiring etc the communal areas were nice but overall dissapointed.

Fully recommend this hostel on the island of Hvar. Clean bathrooms, comfortable bunks and a nice terrace to enjoy an early evening beer.

Not sure how this hostel won awards and was rated so highly. I've stayed in enough to know this was not of a high standard and award winning. Almost everyone staying there at the time agreed that it was in need of improvement.

Great hostel and pretty fun atmosphere. Has a nice terrace, but pictures and description make it look way cooler than it actually is (I highly doubt CSI celebrities were hanging out at the hostel). Overall it was a good place to stay, but pretty overpriced. Recommend staying there for a night or two to check it out but no more.

pros: very clean, equiped kitchen, air con, clean bathroom, good terrace, breathtaking view from terrace, very nice staff, good vibes and you get to get to meet interesting folks.. cons: terrace closes at 10h30 pm, street has a different name than indicated here or in the email confirmation, the hill leading up to hostel is slightly tough to climb when it is too hot...

Great hostel, great staff, just a walk away from the ferry stop. You will have a blast here and get all the best info for what to do when in Hvar. You can rent a scooter and visit Dubovica for the best seafood and a swim, and continue on to the best wine region of Croatia!

Very well run and clean hostel. Location is less than a 10 minute walk from the main harbour. Nice bar and patio available for guests. A good place to meet other travellers. Popular for tourists staying for a week or more in Hvar.

Hard to find a fault for this family run place, it's basically like renting out a high-end apartment that already houses loads of like-minded people. Plenty of activities are on hand and I've rarely met any more enthusiastic or friendly staff. Bar/terrace area is great place to chill out and meet people at the end of the day, and Hvar Town is perhaps a ten minute walk away for continuing the party...

I liked the place, and think that it's the perfect location for Hvar. Staff, Suzy and Maria were really nice, friendly, professional, and the owners Natko and Julia were tops, very friendly and again accommodating. Keep up the good work and good luck with the new kid!
