HW either did not send our booking to them or they messed up, so they were scrambling to try to fit us. They managed to accommodate us after a long time wasted trying to find out wat went wrong. On NYE main doors LOCKED b4 we got back past midnight, despite no curfew tt day as it was NYE. We got locked out - so great security. Asked recep staff to book a trip to Kuang Si waterfalls early the same day for 11.30am - before we headed out for breakfast. But we came back and there was nth booked.
When we arrived the bathroom wasn't clean. I asked them to clean it the next day and so they did. The room had a lot of space but the tv was not working and the WIFI was slow. The location was fine, a 10 min walk from the night market. And they had free bananas, water, coffee and tea. The staff was very friendly
The toiletroom was smelling very bad and there was a coacroach in the bathroom. The rest was ok!

This Guest house is very overrated, it included no breakfast and the bed was hard. The rooms were large but the shower wasn't the best and we found much better guesthouses in the area for less money.
After reading the reviews on this property we were excited to arrive. We had planned on staying There for 3 nights but after the first night we decided to go somewhere else. When we arrived the floor of the bathroom was completely flooded due to the toilet and instead of moving us they just mopped it up. Which didn't help because it was continuously leaking. The room smelled like mold. The wifi did not work anywhere. And the staff was neither helpful or friendly. Do not stay here.
Quite a nice guest house. Room was large with A/C and standing fan, shower was separate to the toilet. The window shutter didn't seal fully so we had some mosquitoes inside during the night and the provided mosquito net wasn't quite big enough to fit around the bed without a big gap. Helpful staff and a good location tucked off a side street, a few minutes' walk from the town centre. Note that there are two other places called Thony Guest House!
A bit hard to find due to there being several places with the same name. Tucked away on a nice little side street though which made for a good night's sleep. Rooms were massive and very comfortable and pretty clean. Close to all the bars (3-4 min walk) but a bit far from town. Staff were helpful and looked after our luggage while we went trekking for a couple of days.
Thony is in a fairly decent location of LP. Around 10-15 minute walk to the market and main area of the very small city. Our room wasn't cleaned by the staff for our entire stay here, but it was very clean when we arrived. Security comes in the form of the family who own it alongside a pack of dogs who live next door, making the place feel very safe. Laundry is super cheap - 1kg = 10,000kip | wifi works much better out of the rooms.
A really nice family run guest house that allows you to feel emerged amongst the Lao neighbourhood. Lovely friendly staff and nice A/C rooms.
Had a great 6 night stay here. Large room, great showers, sweet little outdoor deck area to sit and relax. Free water from a water cooler and a location that was very close to Utopia bar. Good location at only a 5-10 minute walk from the center/night market.
One of the best places i've stayed! The owner is really nice and helpful and the rooms are really good: big beds, ac and fan (!). There is an elderly woman really nice that could be everyone's grandmother, always offering tea, coffee, bananas and water (everything for free). The location is not perfect but good: 15 minutes walking to get to the night market, but 2 minutes away from Utopia (best bar inLuang prabang) and from cool restaurants. A bit difficult to find, but worth it! recommend it!
