About Villa Lombardi
Elegant and new Bed and Breakfast located in ancient villa surrounded by a large garden at our guests disposal.
The villa is a pleasant and reserved oasis located in the historical centre of Camaiore, at 25 km from Lucca. Walking in this antique village, where the Romans lived and situated on the Francigena road that in the Middle Age linked Canterbury to Rome , you can have views that bring you back to the past.
The B&B is equipped with all comforts necessary to make your holiday a very
pleasant one: private parking inside the villa, all rooms have two beds, a
large window looking the garden and also an extra little adjacent room -
with a big window facing the mountains - where work, read or host a third
person.
The en-suite bathroom with shower serves therefore the entire suite.
Each room has satellite TV, autonomous air conditioning, a safe, hair dryer. Washing machine and iron are at disposal, as well as bicycles
to reach the numerous beaches on the coast (4 miles - also frequent buses
available) and the various villages spread on the mountains.
The garden is ideal for relaxing after a day on the beach, on the
mountains or back from cultural trips and to spend fresh evenings together
with the host family, that shares part of the villa, and of the other
guests.
A special attention is given to breakfast with sweet and salted
menu, jams and cakes of the house; it can be served in the room, or in
the breakfast room downstairs or outside.
At walking distance there are many pizzerias, restaurants, food shops and
wineries.
The owners are always present in the villa and at full disposal to satisfy any
requests from our guests. Cooking and Italian lessons can be given upon
request.
From Camaiore you can also easily reach by car or by bus/train, the nice
little towns of Pietrasanta, Forte dei Marmi and Viareggio, very famous
resorts for culture, shopping and night life and the Carrara marble caves,
where Michelangelo got the marble for his Pieta’ as well as for many other
statues!
You can also visit Portofino, Portovenere and Cinque Terre not to
speak of the classical art towns of Lucca, Pisa, Firenze, Siena and Volterra
which are at easy reach for a day tour.
The mountains surrounding Camaiore are good for trekking, jogging, walking and bicycle trips.
