About Villa Mateja
On the attractive Island of Čiovo in Dalmatia we let rooms at the Villa Mateja. Rooms in the mini hotel have 2, 3 and 4 beds. We have also some additional rooms at our disposal, which are 20-50 m faraway. Altogether we have space for 50 guests. According to your wish, you can additionally pay also for half and full board; meals are served in our own restaurant 'Mateja'.
VILLA MATEJA is approximately 70-100 m from the Adriatic Sea. The villa is 3 minutes away from the nearest well-regulated beach through a scented pine wood. But you can reach the beach also by car. Close to the beach, covered with small stones is also a place, where you can moor your boot, or smaller yacht. If you are a more adventurous type of person, you can suntan on the natural beaches, in the small bays and rocks beside the sea. You will find also many other well-regulated places for bathing and sunbathing close to our villa, for example at the very edge of the island (10 min on foot).
Every room in the Villa Mateja has high quality furniture, its own bathroom (triple bedroom has it outside the room), television (Croatian channels), fridge and ventilator. Every room is also air-conditioned. Rooms have good position which enables the maximum freshness also in the summer months.
SPECIFICS
At villa Mateja you can pay only in cash, no cards accepted unfortunately.
The tourist tax is included in the prices. An additional payment for lunch or dinner is 7 EURO per person a day.
Additional payment for pets: cat 4 EURO/day, dog 5 EURO/day.
Please advise us if you have any children coming with you and how old they are.

ABOUT THE ISLAND & WHAT TO SEE
The Island of Èiovo is linked the mainland by a short bridge, which leads directly to the beautiful Dalmatic city of Trogir, which is under protection of UNESCO. When you reach the island, you still have about a 10 minutes drive by car. The completely new building is situated in the village called Okrug Donji, almost at the edge of the island - look at the map.
This part is really peaceful and it enables you to relax. If you are lover of beaches and lines of coffee houses you can go for a trip to the nearest village called Okrug Gornji (Riviera OKRUG).
You can discover a diverse nightlife and interesting culture in the 2800 year old city of Trogir. There you will be intrigued especially by luxurious sailing boats and yachts in the very centre of the city. Trogir is, after Dubrovnik, the most well-known tourist destination in Croatia. To visit a much bigger city, Split, known for its Diocletian palace, you need about half an hour by car from Trogir. In Trogir there are many cruises and trips organized with ship to the Croatian islands and by tourist van to the famous Waterfalls of river Krka, place of pilgrims Meðugorje, city Split and other destinations.
