Great place to stay in Quepos-The owner is very friendly and helpful and the hostel is large and intricate, a really neat design. Best of all, the hostel is a short walk from town with excellent birding all around!

Although the hostel is nice and clean, it's far from the town and you have to have a flashlight to walk at night because there're no lights. The owner is not helpful at all, we asked him for some tips and he was unable to give it to us. Not worth the price of the room.

We really enjoyed during our stay. Once we arrived we had problems with the reservation and local money, and owner of the place (Steve) was always happy to help us and he did it with all his heart. Great atmosphere, great kitchen, great breakfast. Big rooms. We recommend deeply to visit and stay that hostel. Thank you very much!

The hostel provides good value for money although the location is slightly remote. The owner is super friendly and helpful though! Only complaint would be that the room (downstairs) nr 2 (?) is quite warm and badly ventilated. The smell is actually slightly moldy. Other than that the facilities are great! Showers are warm and everything works like it's supposed to! (Nice!)

Steve was a very gracious host who went out of his way to drive people into town and show them around. Full of information about the local sights and watering holes. Met lots of wonderful people staying there. Keep up the good work Steve.

The place was very nice but the best part of it was Steve, the owner and manager. He greeted us with cold coconuts and a friendly smile before we even told him we had reservations. Be careful booking through hostel world because there has been some disconnect with the site and Steve's own emails which apparently has caused a few people to show up with bookings from hostel world which didn't make it into Steve's spreadsheet resulting in people being turned away.

Steve was an excellent host! He and his staff are friendly and accommodating. He offered us cold coconuts when we arrived and upgraded our room. The place has many floors all with open, covered patios, with great views and hammocks. The location was excellent, close to town but far enough away so it is quiet. The kitchen facilities are excellent, the rooms and common areas cleaned daily, and the breakfasts outstanding. It's paradise. It even has a small pool with umbrella and chairs to cool off.

Steven was a really good host, we felt welcome from the beginning and he provided us with a lot of information and helped us a lot. The place is really nice (amazing view), quiet and a bit out of town but this makes it even more relaxed. The common area with the hammocks and the pool is a nice place to hang out and also the kitchen is fully equipped. And it's also just an easy 10 to 15 minutes walk to get into Quepos. Over all we had a great time and would come back in an instant

The villa is a little out of the hustle of Quespos in a quite area and raises over several levels offering nice views. There are several communal areas to relax and a fantastic kitchen available for all to use. Our host upgraded us free of charge to a nicer room as we had booked the 'birdcage' - essentially an open air room on the top level. This was a nice guesture however we were unaware we had booked such a space in the first place. Villa Jacquelina has everything you require.
