We stayed in this hostel for the last of the year, it is near the door of the old town, and the staff speak english very well; but is not so much clean and in the room where we stayed we can't looked the door because it was a passage room. The toilets are not so clean too and toilet bowl clog up easily. For the rest is quite good

I really liked the hostel. A large, clean kitchen. The lounge everything you need - pool table, table tennis, table hockey, internet, etc..

A cheap accommodation doesn't mean poky and filthy toilettes, cold water because the boiler is out of order, Wi-Fi not available but near the reception, old and shag bedding with sheets too small to cover the whole mattress - yes. They looked like they would fit just a kid's bed. Anyway, receptionists are very kind and helpful and the location is good, between train station and The Gates of Dawn. You decide. I won't come back.

Good hostels near to bus station and down town, just the atmosphere wasn't perfect

Our room for 4 people was like an apartment : we had our own bathroom and kitchen. It was great. The common room is spacious with sofas and computers. The common bathroom was a little bit dirty when I came in. The location and the staff were good.

Very helpful, kind and friendly staff.there are 2 hostels that say YHA, other is Fortuna hostel, nearby.Old Town is old eastern European style, while Fortuna is modern, bright, games rooms etc.this is the 'real' YHA hostel. Old Town is not YHA standard.Regardless, the twin room ensuite/kitchenette was spacious, a bit damp but slept well there.Saw the dorms, cramped looking bunk room. Get the 'mini' apartment twin room or go to Fortuna hostel for other.great location, good 12 noon check out time.

the room we slept in didn t thave any windows so there was no natural vnetilation and l can t stand air conditionning . the room was not very clean and it led onto a very busy treet so it was difficult to sleep

What a great hostel. We filled an 8 bed dorm and thought the place was spot on. Ignore reviews of damp bunker like rooms. It's a cheap nights accommodation, but its clean, comfortable, friendly, secure, in a great location, with hot showers and free Internet/WIFI. Would recommend to others. Single travellers or groups.

Though it's close to the old town, transportation links and amenities, there are rooms for improvements in facilities, utensils and atmosphere.

it has a cozy atmosphere

We found it annoying that you have to walk through the seven-bed-dorm to get into the eight-bed-dorm. And to make it even worse the shower for the ladies is only accessible by walking through both of the dorms. There were only quite small lockers where a 15'' laptop does not fit into. On the other hand the kitchen was very large and well equipped.

We have booked a four bed private room with shared bathroom and even got an ensuite bathroom and a small private kitchen, which was great.

Hostel is quite close to the train and bus stations, with a short walk from the Old Town. I like the style of the hostel, the only problem was that there were no lockers in the rooms and the doors to the rooms were not locked as well.

A nice location and excellent rooms.

Good service and good prices

Helpful staff. Good location, close to the train and bus station, but a bit noisy because of the street. Free access to the computers & WIFI. The twin bed was more like a flat (occupied before we came?!?), with a small kitchen and a nice bathroom. A bit smelly at the begining. We had to checkin at the Fortuna 60m away, as this hostel was on renovation, and also shared the common areas with the other hostel. Ok for what we paid, but would probably stay at the Fortuna if I come back.

No key to lock our room

We went to old town hostel, but it was in reforms, so the staff kindly gave us a place in their other hostel, fortuna hostel, which is 5min from the first one. I'm gonna talk about fortuna hostel, which is very close to the bus station, and also to the old town. They have an incredible recreation area, you can play pool, use computers, watch TV, play ping pong, drink, make noise, because it's in somewhere like a basement and you disturb nobody. There're a of tables and benches and 2 big kitchens

Like stated, you have to go to Hostel Fortuna. Great location, nice and knowledgeable staff! Hostel is nicely decorated, showers are AMAZING (spacious and clean), there's a kitchen with some tea and coffee, loved it! Thank you all!

They have two different buildings. We arrived to the one we thought we were staying and it was full, so we needed to walk to the other building. Fortunatelly, the other building was 3 minutes far and was quite ok. Nevertheless, this things may bother to some kind of people.
