The owner here is amazing, he will do anything to help you. 5mins from the train station and MI road which has everything you need on it. Rooms are bright and quite clean for India standards, shower is hot all the time with good pressure which was bliss. Wifi was a little hit and miss but overall a great stay. He booked our bus tickets for us which saved us the time and hassle and took us to the station and made sure we got on the bus ok which was sweet.

We loved every single thing about our stay in Vinayak. The hostel is situated in a quiet area and it's a nice place to relax after the crowds in the old city. The owner and his son are extremely friendly. The younger boys are a bit anoying though. Our room was very spacious and even had tv, a couch, hot water and airco. The wifi lounge is another plus.

Place was a little far from the city, about a 20 min walk to get to the Pink City. The place was average in cleanliness. The owners were very nice and the place felt very inviting. Charged 20R to store our bag after we checked out which was a little unusual. Wifi was constant but only in the specific Wifi room. Overall a fairly average place to stay (but the family made it above average)

Great place, very friendly hosts. It's not very close to many of the monuments but there aren't many guesthouses that are.

Loved this place! I arrived around 4am and the owners gave me a room to rest before checking in at 9am. The place is beautiful and the rooms are clean and comfy. Raman is very friendly and its super cheap! 100% recommend it.

What a great guesthouse! Spent Holi here with my husband, 3 year old, and 10 month old. We loved playing colors with the other guests, Raman and his family, and wandering groups of youngers on the street who would pop into the gate to spread colors on us and our kids. Raman hooked us up with a rickshaw driver who took us all over Jaipur over the course of 2 days and showed us the sites. Great rooftop restaurant that served awesome vegetarian food. Would definitely stay here again.

Best thing about Vinayak Guesthouse is the friendly atmosphere. Family run, lots of local advise with no catches. Can book tickets and organize drivers at no extra charge. Great location only 5 mins tuk tuk (10-15 min walk) from the railway station. 5 - 10 mins tuk tuk (15-20 min walk) from the pink city, restaurants, bazaars etc. Clean and comfortable rooms. Great rooftoop restaurant. Great value for money. Good for families. Would stay again for sure!

We spent 2 nights in Vinayak Guesthouse in March 2012. The owner is really kind and friendly. We arived at 4 AM and the owner was waiting for us. Next day, we got welcome tea delivered to our room - it was really nice. The room was OK: it was clean, the fan was working nicely and there was hot water in the shower all the time :) We can recommend staying in this hostel during visit to Jaipur :)

We stayed at the Vinayak guesthouse for 4 days in total. My partner arrived a day earlier than me feeling very sick. Raman and his family were very supportive in finding him a doctor to arrange a house visit. There after they were very tentative to our needs and were happy to send food to our room when required. The accommodation, food were first class. the rooms clean, great hot showers and strong wireless connection! Great location too from which to explore Jaipur. Highly recommended!!!

Staff very helpful and friendly, will help with travel arrangements and will give good advice. Nice clean spacious room with hot water and TV- but no English speaking channels available. Wifi seemed out in the evenings, which could not be fixed by the staff unfortunately. Limited selection of food, slow service and fairly poor quality although the rooftop terrace was nice. After 6 weeks of India this is easily the best place we have stayed, would recommended!
