There were no luggage lockers in the room, as I was ensured there would be. Wifi is restricted to the lobby only, and is slow at best. The wallpaper in my room was peeling and there were numerous large stains all over the rug. The staff was helpful enough with directions and that sort of thing. Overall, though, I was severely unimpressed and would not recommend this hostel to friends.
We booked a private double room. The room was cool because it had a window with a view of Sacre Coeur, but the overall cleanliness was not great. The bathroom needed a deep cleaning. Breakfast consisted of cereals, bread, tea, coffee, and juice. The best part about the location was the proximity to the subway stop. It wasn't easy to walk to any of the major sites located closer to the river. The Wifi was pretty bad and was only accessible in the lobby. Hostel was a decent value for Paris.
Loved this hostel! Staff were friendly and approachabke always going extra mile for 3 new zealanders! Nitten (hostel staff) especially he was outstanding! I booked this as it is near gare du nord so easy to get to!!! Social Areas were lovely, tidy and safe Breakfast was great
It is a perfect place to stay as it is very close to the main train station Gare de Nord and easy to locate. I recommend for those who travel via train. It is also close to the Metro or subway. The rooms are very old and are overdue for renovation. Portion of the paint of the walls of the room is starting to fall to the floor giving a sense that it is dirty and not fit to be occupied. The staff is not very welcoming. There is internet connection available for a fee.
Whilst clean, the decor in the rooms is kinda shabby (even for a hostel). The Wifi is only available in the reception, and then requires you get a username and password from the front desk, each time you use it. It's also slow when there are more than two or three people there.
I liked the location and it's convenience. The staff were friendly and helpful even when they were busy. i used two rooms in my three nights there and both were fine. Rooms, common area and kitchen were well cleaned. I know that capital cities are always expensive, and i didn't see cheaper on the net, but the prices will put me off going back to paris very soon. The breakfast was great.
Great breakfast and eating/Internet room. Really nice facilities but shower was filthy, had dirt in it which after 3 nights was still there - obviously no one cleans the bathrooms. And some of the staff were very unfriendly/could not be bothered to give me directional advice. One lady was quite nice though.
Pretty sure you'll find a place in Paris with better value for money. Even though most of the rooms and bath rooms are quite new, i was disappointed by the breakfast. Not very healthy, nearly without nutrition: cornflakes, rolls with jam and coffee/tea. No eggs, no yoghurt, no muesli, no fruit?! you only get (one way plastic) knifes to cut the roles, are you kidding me? The male staff should take lessons in customer service, not very friendly. This young breakfast lady can't speak english :-(
All in all, it was good, as usual, stay there every year. Only point of displeasure, was that my room only had one power outlet, the rest were holes in the wall. rm 102
it’s easy to transfer to other metro lines. There is a franprix nearby.

It's the first time I have to wait until 4pm to check in. When I arrived, without even checking my reservation, they gave me the key to open the lugagge room, so anyone can have it easily. There was mildew in the bathroom. There's no lift to go to the first floor.

We are 3 women travelling for 12 nights this was the worst of all the hostels we stayed in..... The whole place has no atmosphere , it's tired and grubby we stayed in much better places for half the price
Very nice place to stay! I would come again! Very kind staff.
Poor installations, the rooms were dirty and messy. No power outlets in the room so no possibilty to charge cellphone or anything. The price is to high for what it offers.
Gas stove in kitchen wasn't working. Enough lockers weren't available. Overall ok if u need a few days to stay
Thank you for Excellent Staff Service.

Everything was pretty good except that the wifi connection was really bad.
Hostel was clean and tidy throughout and there was always a member of staff on reception which was great. The location of the hostel was also really good.
Stayed in the double room (606) with ensuite bathroom for one night. The bed was covered with a white blanket that looked quite clean, but underneath was a brown blanket covering the mattress. The brown blanket looked dirty and had black spots all over it. No bedsheets. So we decided to sleep directly on the white blanket, and therefore had nothing warm to cover with. There is totally no heating available in the room. The electric kettle came half-filled with water. Not recommended.
