Perfect location! There are no big signs with the name of hostel, but Salamander shoe shop sign is very helpful in finding the right place. All in all very nice hostel, clean and rather cheap. Breakfast is simple, but it was good to have it. Not a party place, but I enjoyed staying there, it has own style and atmosphere. the only doubt- I could agree with one of the respondents here - weird to have shower and toilet very close to common area.

Very nice hostel smack dab in the center of Old Town. The staff is very helpful pointing out all the great spots to visit in the town. Would stay here again. Definitely check out the walking tour!

Great location, very friendly and helpful staff. This was from far the best place we stayed in, during our trip in the Baltic countries. The twin bedroom was huge, beds confortable. The whole hostel is clean, with many services included (free wifi, PC, traveldesk…). Reasonable size breakfast in the morning. Minibar in the common room. Quite (except when the workers started drilling from 6 to 8am.) Not a party hostel, but recommand it to anyone.

I had a single room, so security was no problem at all. But I did not see any lockers. When I arrived it was quite dusty but staff cleaned it that afternoon. Fort all other things:a very good hostel.

It´s located directly in the city center, everything you wanna see and need is within walking distance. The staff is very helpful and polite, the rooms are big enough and clean, so is the hostel in general. If I would go come to Tallinn again, I would also stay there again.

Good place with a very cosy atmosphere! The hostel is run by some friendly ladies who told us everything we needed to know. Right into the city centre. Nice common room to hang out and free breakfast:)... Comfy beds. Would definetely stay again when visiting Tallinn next time, highly recommended!

Staff was great and helpful. There was a lot of program for travellers (for example bub crawl), so if you want to get to know new people, this is the hostel for you! Room was nice and location could not be better, if you are heading to the old town or centre otherwise. Breakfast was quite plain and there was a kitchen renovation at the time I was there, but otherwise I would definitely go there again. Thank you!

This is the perfect place for someone who wants a social but non-raucous atmosphere (no large groups). The staff are likewise very friendly and helpful without being pushy. There's a lot of street noise at night, but otherwise the location is extremely convenient to the sights, and it's easy to reach by any mode of transportation.

I really enjoyed my stay at Viru Backpackers. My room was small, but very nice (although it could need a cupboard). The common areas were also good. But what made my stay really awesome was not only the good location and nice hostel facilities, but the very nice staff who would make recommendations where to go and what to see. Good atmosphere!

One of the best places I've ever stayed. I only have good things to say about it. If I did have a complaint, it would be the strange location of the bathrooms. Having to sit 10 feet away from people eating breakfast, separated by only a thin door, while you do your business is...uncomfortable. Otherwise everything was great! I even got a free room upgrade because I visited during a slow week, and you let me wash clothes. Thanks for everything!

This hostel is quite likely the best one I've been to in the last years. Would definitely recommend and will definitely go there again when I go back in that amazing city! Emilio

This hostel was fantastic! The staff were so cheery and helpful. The place felt just like home and if you are looking for a homely quiet place this is it. The entire place was super clean and very warm. The location could not be better. The free breakfast was great. The only thing was the layout of the bathrooms - it was a bit weird to have to go to the toilet in front of guests eating at the dining table!

The location was excellent - right in the centre of old town and it was always lovely and warm. Wish the curtains would be abit bigger and thicker to stop the lights from outside at night.

My second time staying here, and it was this time even better than last time. Staff is very helpful and friendly. I had a nice small private room which was quite comfortable. The place is very clean, and has a good location. Lodging comes with breakfast, but is a bit boring, but the accommodations are a good value for the money and there are plenty of cafés nearby.
