There are not many places in the world we would come back to simply because our list of places to see and explore is looong…however we would come back to Volver. And this is why we loved it… Priceless view, Open terrace Great, professional staff – expecially couple from Israel (G&R) Goulash and BBQ…delicious Great atmosphere, good mix of people and accents Trendy, stylish decorations Big, tasteful room Good location, sun, sun, sun Meg&Phil

I stayed in the 6 bed dorm which has a small window and this does cause a ventilation problem, the 4 bed dorm I looked in has two windows and would be fine. The kitchen would benefit from additional refrigeration space and paper towels or air dryers in the bathrooms and Kitchen area for hand washing. The free WIFI worked well. I have marked down on security because the hostel access security is fine although the locker I was given was not secure and the door could easily be forced.

I stayed for 5 nights and really enjoyed my stay. The hostel location and views are brilliant apart from all the steps but when u get there the view makes it worthwhile. The dorms are small and the place could do with a third bathroom. Above all volver exudes character, charm and friendliness well done to Andrea and on her selection of staff. I definitely hope to visit again and in fact wouldn't go to gran canaria without staying there. Brian Murphy

Really enjoyed my stay here. Great location in whats probably the nicest place in Gran Canaria. You gotta love the view from the balcony... To me Volver is like a warm/free spirited/openminded little community, where people (young and old, from all places of the world) can share a lot of laughs and stories. There's a great fibe. I've met a bunch of nice people here and enjoyed each moment of my stay. I'll definitely come back here, whenever I'll return to Gran Canaria. Can't recommend it enough.

Brilliant hostel with lovely bohemian design. Beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. We stayed in the private rooms which are away from main hostel and I would definitely recommend it and will definitely go back. Staff were very polite and professional especially one particular man from near Barcelona (whose name I can't remember). A real effort has gone into this place and it is well worth a visit. It's also located in the best place to stay in the whole of the island.

10/10 for this great hostel! Very cosy and everybody is working together to keep it clean and comfortable. At 11 o 'clock it is quiet so I could have a good night sleep even in a dormitoire with 6 girls. (the boys were very quiet to!) The beach is only a few minutes walking, but in Volver hostel you feel far away from the tourist crowds.Because Volver Hostel is located amongs local people, it is a place to chill, NOT for disco types, NOT for night life. Thanks to the entire staff!

Really fun and social hostel. The private rooms are really lovely too although in a separate building so not quite as social.

The "other" house is missing very basic facilities. When I complained that there is no electricity in the outlets they told me that it is because of the wiring, but nobody did anything to fix it. The leg of my double bed was also broken. Half of the staff have mental problems the other half are excellent. However if you do not mind these "little" problems and do not have a real family for a week then I can recommend this hostel without any further questions.

I really enjoyed my stay and glad I took a chance on this place. Thr roof terrace is wonderful to relax in. It felt like home from home. As someone who had travelled to Gran Canaria to cycle the island, I would recommend the hostel try and find some space for bikes on the roof perhaps. I will definitly be coming back next year to do more cycling but with some friends so if we can keep more than 1 bike in the hostel that would be great!

There are only 2 bathrooms (shower/toilet) for 18 guests, so there's always a line, very inconvenient. That being said, there's a gorgeous view, and the bunk beds were quite sturdy.
