Very good stay. Common room very little but you can meet people easily. Great location, nice staff, fridge in the room, it was clean. The security could be better, because there is no lockers available (bedroom and common room), the dorm's door don't lock automatically (so you can leave et forget to lock the door), the little portal stay open most of the time. I had to pay by cash because there is a minimum by card (not mentioned on hostelworld). Free luggage storage after your checkout ;-)

Really great hostel! Just a block away from the beach, spotlessly clean and most importantly with amazing staff who make the atmosphere of the place so great - they're all young, super friendly and enthusiastic plus travelers themselves so they know how to make your stay best possible. Additionally the hostel has free beer and free pizza nights and take people out almost every night. Strongly recommended.

I really enjoyed staying in this hostel, all staff were really friendly except the north Korean .. Kidding (Mongolian). He is actually really nice. Location was great and rooms were clean. Free breakfast and yogurt was really a plus. They also had free beers on some nights! everyone was having party every night and really fun.

The staff were nice. When I arrived, I wasn't sure where the entrance was... I got there one hour before check-in time but they prepared a room for me. I thought there was at least hand soap in the bathroom but there wasn't. I didn't usea pillow because it looked dirty. I had a hot shower so it was a good point. It might be noisy at night.

I was in 2 different hostels (this and Beachside Hostel) and I am strongly recommend this one. Is cheaper, smaller and the atmosphere is more familiar and kind. Clean enough and just at 3 minutes walking from Waikiki beach.

In a very convenient location only a short walk to Waikiki Beach. Also nice to have ensuite and kitchenette in room. However, sheets were dirty, cockroaches in bathroom and no lockers available in room. I would probably not stay here again as it's quite expensive for what you get.

When you have free nights (much appreciated) sticking to an actual time would be nice. We waited nearly two hours for pizza.

Great spot, short walk to waikiki beach, great atmosphere, free beer some nights! Easy to sleep, quiet time is at 10pm, so you can either get some sleep, or head out for drinks after then. Everyone is pretty cool and chilled, i had a good stay.

I enjoyed my stay at the Waikiki Backpackers Hostel! However, there are cockroaches in bedroom and no lockers available in room. Well.., you get what you paid for and is not bad overall!

depends on your perspective. if youre used to big hostels with poor dorms this might suit as you stay in a motel room with facilities.i stayed in a private room which was a dorm room with the other beds left in. it was the most dingy and depressing room ive stayed in. not like the photos.. it was drab and just about clean. the sheets were nylon which i hate. it was social but i think this was because the kitchen and office were in room sized spaces so you had to socialise it was so tiny.l

The staff was not knowledgeable or didn't care to share their info about the area/island. The atmosphere was weird. In our opinion, not worth the money. We will stay somewhere else next time

The worst hostel I have ever been. Bads: Cockroaches, poor breakfast and duty bathroom. Goods: Free beer and pizza in some days. The staff is very cool too. Good location. I do not recomend, easy to find better.
