Clean, bright, secure and friendly hostel right in the heart of Cairo. I was worried about proximity to Tahrir Square, but it was very safe when I was there. Most of the staff are very friendly, helpful and professional and have lots of good suggestions for what to do and where to go

Outstanding assistance by staff. They were able to book tours and transportation between cities where they were NOT located for the cheapest price. Also provided tours within Cairo and had warnings provided about all the places and people that will rip you off. Made everything easy. Location was great and very clean. Loved it.

friendly staff, lots of useful information.clean rooms but: we booked a tour to the pyramids with them. before gize they offered us a camel ride for 480egp=>60euros telling us it was a 12km walk to see everything.we didnt take it and found it was actually more like 5km (to walk around the pyramids, the sphynx, onto the scenic lookout point and back) and camels rides are available from 20EGP inside the area. except for this the tour was very good, just be careful!

Wakeup was great to stay at. I arrived without a good plan. The owner sat down with me and helped put a good tour together. The tour took a lot of the thinking out of traveling and really allowed me to enjoy my time here. The guides are great and very informative. The entire staff is real friendly and helpful, plus everyone is really doing their best to make sure you enjoy Egypt. I can't recommend Wakeup enough. Also when traveling in Egypt you feel very safe despite what the media says

I chose the Wake Up! Hostel because it was the best rated hostel in Cairo and for its superb location. And I was not disappointed. I consider myself a seasoned traveler and I have to say, without any exaggeration, that with all things considered, this is one of the best hostels I've stayed in (if not THE best). Beyond the great location, the place has a very friendly atmosphere, and the staff are extremely helpful and informative.I was able to make the most of my visit through their help. Enjoy!

I really enjoyed my stay at Wake Up! hostel Cairo, the staff were especially friendly and very helpful, particularly Mido and Haidi! I will definitely stay here again if I ever make it back to Cairo. The hostel also offers package tours at reasonable prices (with no pressure to join), i did the tour of Saqqara, Dahshur and Giza which I highly recommend - the guide spoke perfect English and was really interesting.

Good hostel, but a littlebit scary elevator. The staff is helpful, but mostly if they expect to make some other business with you. They push you in high rating.

The services were excellent. I got my room instantly and specially after an overnight journey from Luxor, at 6 am in the morning, the room was available to me. although i apprehended, that may not be until 12 o'clock-the normal check-in/out time. Peter, the owner took pain to my all needs including a tour to Saqqara,Dahsur & Giza Pyramids etc.The boys were excellent. Ahmed was always ready to serve me in any way ,be it a cup of tea in odd time or making a quick dinner for me.Midu was also great.

We've spent some really good time in Wake Up! Hostel in Cairo. Staff is always eager to help - we received a lot of advices, especially from Mido and Hussien. They know perfectly Cairo and the whole country. The Hostel offers a really nice opportunities to visit other places in Egypt (for example Luxor or to take part in Felluca cruise), and we recommend it. Location is really great, close to the Tahrir square and not far from train station. Included breakfasts are good and simple.

A very good base for visiting Cairo. We initially stayed 4 nights and re booked with them when we went back to Cairo for another night. Peter, Heidi,Mohammed, Ahmed and team provide everything you need to help you navigate and enjoy this very full on city. Great views, good advice and we enjoyed some great chats with the team over our time there. Thanks for everything, hope to see you again.
