Very nice staff. Comfortable room and shower worked great. They have a kitchen and fridge you can use. Breakfast basic but not bad. Common room had tv and a nice place to relax with a drink and watch busy cairo traffic below. Hotel also close to great and popular kushari restaurant in an interesting car repair area of cairo. Take out alcohol shop was clise by too.
Great Hostel , staff are friendly, close to many facilities like the bus station and the Cairo Museum, its on the level 7, the dorm room are very small and simple breakfast , i recommended wake up hostel if you staying in Cairo.
You could get trouble because the staff tell lots of lie easily like for tours and the prices staying there. You have to be careful if you still think of staying there.
Doors to building/front of hostel never locked, although reception usually manned. No lockers in rooms. Staff mostly sitting around playing on phones/watching TV in the lounge - including through the night, making noise. No social area for guests as staff were always occupying it. Not given a tour on arrival or shown any facilities. Info on trips etc. available was limited. One trip we were dropped miles away by bus on return despite being told we'd be within walking distance of hostel.
