I consider this to be a pretty big and crowded hostel. Mainstream theme and not so personal.

It was nice staying at the wakeup, very central and good transport to anywhere in city. Just across from station. Café is nice and sidebar is ok. Drink are dear and NO FREE WIFI. most hostels do free WIFI very expensive. All and all very nice to stay there. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Would stay again.

Loved this place! Staff were super friendly and helpful and offered great free city tours with a free beer at the end! The downstairs bar is a lot of fun too with a good happy hour. Good location too, right by central station

The showers were amazing! You could run Hydraulics off of those things, the water pressure was awesome!!! Also, the beds were really comfortable and very clean. I did have a bit of an issue with my room key not working, but it was fairly quickly sorted out.

I was extremely disappointed in this hostel. The hostel is fine but once opening door to room the trouble begins. The hostel rooms are disgusting with people having their belongings spread everywhere. The room mates are rude, noisy, inconsiderate and dirty. I would not stay here if you want sleep, floor to walk on or consideration.

Very large hostel- I didn't feel there was a great sense of community. Unless you were living there which some people were. It wasn't the most ideal situations to be sharing a dorm with those semi-permanent residents as they took ownership of the dorm & were not always hygienic. There were always people loitering in the front despite there being common areas. Late nights & into early morning they would be drunken & loud and this could be heard in the dorms despite the many levels of the hostel.

Bring a small lock to use on the small lockers in the rooms. If you need luggage storage, it's available, but you need to pay for it.

Wake up is a great hostel to start your trip with since it's in the middle of central, close to the train station.

All i can say is..much better if your put a sign every floor " KEEP QUITE COZ SOMEBODY'S SLEEPING" Coz when i stayed in 8 days, i observed that everynight there's a group of boys who's very noisy in a middle of the night.. they all laughing and they no care about other's who's sleeping.. and also, kindly tell your cleaning staff to clean the toilet everyday,, coz there's somebody using a toilet they just leave the toilet very dirty especially on the floor and on the bowl..

Pros: Great room (7th floor) and great location. Cafe downstairs (there is also a bar). Cons: Ensuite bathroom was tiny and the shower flowed directly onto the floor. Had to pay a $40 deposit for our 2 keys. Packed with people 24/7, and only two elevators - takes a while to get in and out. It was pretty loud one of the nights we stayed, with a bunch of drunk people hanging out and screaming in the hallway between 12:30 - 1:30 am. Other than that, we enjoyed it. Would recommend to others.

Expensive, but really nice. Staff was amazing. Food wasn't good felt like you paid overprize... Rooms are nice and clean. For those who like big hostels this is it. You are not allowed to drink on premisses.
