Great overall and a really cool place. Only down side was the wifi and internet services were not free.

I am happy to report that we have just decreased our prices on wifi and increased the allotment of free time for Hostelworld guests from 1 hour to 1 day of free wifi. Wake Up! is one of the better hostels I have stayed in. Well located - easy to walk or public transport anywhere. Social - organised activities every day to meet new people and see the city, and the Side Bar downstairs is busy every night from about 9-10pm. Quiet rooms (couldn't hear the bar downstairs at all from my room). Very comfy mattresses. Bathrooms are excellent - large showers with lots of hot water and shelf space and hangers for your stuff. Honestly can't think of a bad thing to say!

I really enjoyed my stay at Wake Up, the staff were very welcoming and accommodating. They let me check in early and stowed my luggage for me for the day. The location next to Central station is perfect for trains and only 2 mins from the large Bus stop making transport a breeze! This is my hostel of choice for my quick trips to the city. Thanks for a great stay!

Had a excellent stay here ! Probably the best hostel I have stayed in whilst in Australia very clean well maintained, extremely helpful staff :) good nights in side bar always something going on the activity are great (grace and Connor) Everything you could ask for in a hostel ! When I return to Sydney will be defanaitly rebooking here !

This place is like the perfection of hostels! All the things that people rate on, they have it!-- Great security, location, staff, atmosphere, cleanliness, facilities... They even throw in some free stuff like a free coffee drink at their café and a beer when you go to their travel talk. They also have free things to do, and good deals on food. Anyway, very good hostel.

I found this place to be very happening. The staff are very friendly, helpful, sociable, informative and knowledgeable. The rooms and facilities are excellent and clean. Cutlery, crockery and fridges are provided. The cafe and side bar are just a few steps away for food and refreshments. Everyday there are day and night activities and entertainment organise for Wake Up guests so you'll never get bored! Definitely an excellent stay with a touch of 5 star backpacker class and entertainment.. :D

Can't really complain... Free wifi would be good but it's quite cheap anyway.. Just a nitpicking..

This hostel is one of the best in Sydney! So clean and safe! You use your key to only get to your floor in the lift. Tad annoying that theres no stairs as the lift can take ages. Brilliant night lofe and social activities!

Just DON'T bother the so-called airport shuttle service by this hostel. My relaxing trip was ruined by this service right at the beginning. Waited at the airport for more than half an hour and the hostel staff just kept telling me to wait. I shouldn't trust this service again but I did. I booked the service back to the airport several days later and it was 20 minutes late, the driver just shrugged and guess what? There's no seat. The whole thing is ridiculous.

In general the buses pickup every 30 minutes but naturally this can be stretched at times, especially during peak hour in Sydney. The internet card given when you arrive to the hostel was too little (just one hour). It should be al least two hours.

Very clean hostel within city center and next to station where the greyhpund bus is leaving. Great atmosphere with nice staff and they arrange a lot of activities.

No free WiFi is ridiculous. Individual lights and plug sockets for dorm beds is a nice touch with decent sized lockers. Side Bar is great craic! Big kitchen too. Real professional staff.

I really enjoyed my stay at wake up. Rooms are spacious and clean. Staff helpful and knowledgeable. Queues at reception could get pretty long because there are so many people staying, which also leads to a very busy kitchen! And there are only lifts to get between floors, no stairs.

great location, comfy bed (don't forget your earplugs though), friendly staff but bathroom hasn't been cleaned once while we stayed there

I can assure you that this is not normal and I shall be seeking an explanation from our housekeeping team. Loved this hostel, It was in an ideal place to get to everywhere. The staff where so friendly and informative. The rooms were really spacious and the beds were comfy! The bathrooms were so clean. It was great having a cafe and bar attached to the hostel, really handy!!

Wasn't as good as my first stay. Got an 'upgrade' from a 10 bed to a 6 bed dorm. Having stayed in the 10 bed dorm previously it was spacious. But this time the 6 bed dorm was cramped, stuffy and a couple of lockers had been left locked so there were bags all over the floor. Value is good as you get free drinks and and 1hr of internet. But if you don't want to pay for net then just go around the corner to Peterpan's Travel.
