I like the hostel a lot, love that they have lockers in the room, even though they aren't the biggest. The staff is friendly and was able to help me with everything I threw at them. Rooms were clean and so were the bathrooms. Only thing I didn't like was how noisy the lock on the doors are, they are electric and make a lot of sound when they are unlocking and locking, so that was a bit anoying when u wanted a early night.

The hostel is amazing. Has everything you need and right at the city. The staff was not friendly at all. They help you when you ask, but doesn't seem like they like their jobs.

This is THE party hostel in Sydney--it even has it's own club, the so-called side bar, which is buzzing during all nights of the week. There is even party music in the elevators! On the downside, the actual rooms are nothing special and definitely not worth the almost 40 bucks per bed, especially when compared to the incredibly Bounce Ho(s)tel located vis-a-vis on the other side of Central Station. The staff was a mixed bag--some nice, some really young (18 years old) and some arrogant people.

Mates recommended Wake Up warmly before I went to Sydney and they were right. This is definitely in my top 3 of hostels I've stayed in on the East Coast. The hostel was huge but did not feel huge at all- nice atmosphere and clean common areas, nice tv lounge too which was appreciated cause of many days of heavy rain whilst in Sydney! The tours they organise are cool too!

Really great location and facilities at this hostel but the cost of the wifi was ridiculous especially when there is a global gossip next to it for less than half the price and this works on the hostels wifi.. The amount of time i spent waiting at reception to ask for something was a joke, toilets were not cleaned for days.the beds are very uncomfortabe and old, So paying $40 a night for a 4 bed mix dorm i expected a bit more. Location is all this hostel has going for it.

This was one of the best hostels I have stayed at in a long time. Nice atmosphere - good facilities, friendly staff. What I liked in particular was the fact that the rooms had a bit of space - some other hostels squash as many bunk beds into rooms as possible so the space here made such a big impact. The place was well presented and the staff looked after it very well. Even little touches like having music in the lift made a difference. Ill definitely stay here again!

It will be good if there is more plugs in the bedrooms 2 is not enough, more checking on the bedroom too. When I arrive in the bedroom they was stuff there since a while belong to somebody who was gone and also my bed wasn't ready without that bedroom clean.

It's a clean big hostel. I was in a 10-bed dorm but the room had enough room for the 10 of us. The lockers provided in the room, however, were ridiculously small, and I couldn't fit my suitcase in despite it being of cabin size. The Side Bar in the basement did a free BBQ (bread with sausages) that night and I had a great time partying there. My key card didn't reset itself this time round, but be warned: you can get locked out of your room pretty randomly.

Close to the central station which is great if you're travelling by bus or by train. We had to change our room once during our stay because our room was booked for a bigger group. We got an upgrade but were informed about this on the same morning of the room change and had to store our luggage and pick them up again because of this. Understandable if this was our wish to change rooms but it certainly was not, so we hoped it would have been organized without the hassle caused for us.

Only stayed in Wake Up for one night but will definitely be back! Nice atmosphere both in the hostel and the bar. Really helpful staff and the beds are comfy. The only criticism i have is that the internet is quite expensive but you can easily find cafes with free wifi nearby. Overall it was a good hostel and would definitely recommend it to others!
